Americans are a breed & a mafia state of their own! They can stand at a podium and speak with a straight serious face and tell the world that the color red is definitely blue. And when they have finished speaking, their European vassals, their brown British-Congressi/communists & Indian mainstream media slaves will give a standing ovation!! And Yet!! Europeans & their American masters have been the biggest genocide-rs & looters of natives across Americas, India-Asia & Africa!! They don't seem to realize that they only speak to less than 15% of the world!! It's ironic & funny that USA/EU shout democracy & freedom on roof tops while rejecting the same at home as well as in international relations!!

Last question is most telling. After minutes of the American saying that this is about democracy and freedom, he could not answer why the US worked with nondemocratic actors in the past with the other general ultimately answering that countries act in their own national interest. So it's clear. It's not about democracy, but what is the national interest. This is the reason why the US works with Saudi Arabia but not Iran. This is the reason why Russia invaded to prevent the NATOizataion of Ukraine.

I think the American General was afraid of saying things that may not go well with government officials and the elite back in the US. She caught the US representative with his pants down with the last question. Would General Campell prosecute his own army, PM, ministers for the Afghanistan conflict, even when Afghan wasn't involved with Australia. They waged a war against a nation when some of the 9/11 attackers were assumed to be based in Afghan. Actually they were found in Pakistan. At the end of the day, it is just business for the businessman and politicians. Make money while you are in the position. If it should have taken only 3 weeks for Russia to complete the Ukraine occupancy or surrender, Why is it taking more than 3 weeks for US to be in Syria? Syria doesn't have any weapons which are superior to US Army.

What does Gen. Mattis mean "Founding fathers and mothers of India" choosing democracy? (Sir, democracy and voting rights for women come naturally to us!) I pity ourselves for not being able to sink into their minds that this is an ancient civilization without fathers and mothers. And Gen. Chouhanji's mild laughter when Gen. Mattis said he had no answer and his interjection that "You anser it in your national interest sir!" are very very noteworthy.

Indians need to read Arthashastra - foreign policy needs to be brutally realistic - based on facts. It can be couched in wonderful ideas etc but it’s not necessarily ideologically inspired. Imperative is for a large power to attain and expand power at all costs. So i think Americas can talk a lot about democracy but it’s focus is to maintain dominant hegemonic power come what may and that’s the appropriate thing for them to do. Other countries such as China which think they can become a hegemonic power will do everything they can to do so. Countries like India have to figure out their role in the context this situation - not driven by ideology but how to make the best of the current and future scenarios for their benefit.
