    Should that be so,the "BIGGEST assets" bit , then the Republic of India, already financially indebted to an unprecedented degree, is matched in , & perhaps exceeded, only by the extent of its moral, spiritual & intellectual poverty.     Should Tony Blair be given this space at all?.. Late British foreign Minister Robin Cook said something that should open people's eyes with regards to the question and Blair being tried at The international crimnal court.. He said it was not created to try or punish western leaders.. And so far it has not they can commit whatever crime with impunity.. This makes the world a dangerous and scary place.

The problem Indians have is that they don't even acknowledge what happened and instead portray the raj as something India benefitted from, as though they civilized a barbaric, backward people (as opposed to systematically looting and subjugating a centuries-old advanced civilization)

    I know exactly how you feel. India was filled with corruption, scams made headlines every year, there was rampant mafia and terrorism in every state of India...this is what happens when you vote for political entities which run on nepotism and freebies to win votes. I was also ashamed of being associated with such a government back then, although I was still in school.

    Did you notice how attentively she listens to all the words that come out from the participants? Also how respectful the participants are towards her? She is one person in Indian journalism who is well versed with each and every topic. She reads, listens and understands. Great woman! Frankly speaking she should be a minister in the Ministry of External Affairs together with Dr Jai. She is the backup for Dr. Jai.

    I don't agree with what happened in Iraqi under the leadership of Tony Blair but as a British subject ,Tony Blair was only choice to lead the country at the time of turmoil , his polices for Britain was for the people and their security , so one need to balance his achievement ,on what was a very controversial situation , which any leader would face in any part of the world, Yes Tony Blair was a Good Leader at the time as far as the British were concern and same could be said of PM Putin of Russia as we speak , but the West will not see it in that contest , unfortunate we see only see in indirection and judge , we don't see the full picture.

    In other words, pandering. No tough questions on why Palestinians are treated differently than Ukrainian.     As a 55 yrs old South African where I took citizenship some 33 years ago, South Indian - did my first degree Kerala & Karnataka and raised in Zambia post british rule and stayed in England briefly, I can relate to all 3 men in the panel.     Read between the lines! Blair is saying it is not just India but Indonesia, Philippines are also rising. He is trying to draw a longer line to his futile effort in showing India's line is shorter (remember Birbal story). UK including Europe are in a denial phase but next decade they will taste the reality.

    Lovely to see Palki Sharma hosting on this important stage. We admire EAM Jaishankar, abhor Tony Blair, and were impressed that Kevin Pietersen was the man with the key to peace: 1) set aside who is right or wrong; 2) concentrate on making a relationship that will develop peacefulness. The cricket man said the most useful thing.

    Not even a single question about Russia Ukraine? I'd have asked Blaire what's the difference between the pretext of invading Iraq and invading Ukraine. If he said Russia is lying that Ukraine will be a threat to its sovereignty then my follow-up question would be where are the WMDs after 20 years?
