We don't know that the conditions were like this when they flew yesterday, we also don't know the systems on board of Iran's presidential helicopter. I doubt they would have flown the President of Iran and the foreign affairs minister in treacherous weather if they did not have every confidence that it would not pose a problem. Very coincidental that this is exactly what Bibi needs to advance his goals, the only way he stays in power is if he can provoke a ware with Iran.

I was in the military and you’d see generals and colonels try to get pilots to fly them in unsafe conditions all the time because they were in a hurry. There are loads of people , younger people that aren't wanting him back and probably not praying!! He isn't a loved but rather feared leader!! This could very well be an inside job if not only weather related!! My guess is it was the fog!! Happens often in lousy weather!!

Yep I was on a farm a few miles where he crashed and it was insane to think anyone would try flying a helicopter in those conditions in the morning. Sadly for Kobe, that was the only notably really foggy morning for a couple of weeks.

Usa and Allies are always involved 100% of the time!! With 75yrs of experience!! No questions required!!

You can hardly see anything in those conditions, its going to be a tough search ops. We have lost many a souls to such weather conditions on a chopper.

You fly by gps. A lot of helicopters will climb to the highest point above the highest mountain or sky scraper just to avoid accidental impact. Iran is just the R word.

Attempted assassination? What a joke! The helicopters were from the late 1970s and did not have proper maintenance due to international embargoes. Old helicopters always tend to have problems, especially in bad weather.

I'll say this about the Iranians, There very resourceful and are smart enough that Iran is now the only country on Earth with a squadron of active F-14 tomcat they have kept them flying despite embargoes and no spare parts and the f-14 was a bitch as far as maintenance is concerned. MY money is this was a bad decision on behalf of the pilots for ignoring the shity weather or it was a smell my finger / banana in the tailpipe type $hit.
