Ah. So she's a god. That explains the flash, her resurrection as a human, not a zombie. And the fact literally ever animal she comes within a five meter radius of automatically fights the zombies. Wait, I think I may know what the flash was. It may have been something that affected only her mother and father, which after they turn they keep their human thoughts and keeps control of themselves.

I feel like there's just a little too much prolonged movement for her to have only said short syllables, I'm fairly sure she said "You're dead"

Eden of the East I am not a strong religious type person but just by what I saw wouldn't you think she was like a new Jesus? Animals protected her when she was abandoned when her "mother" was turning and they still protect her as if she has a connection with them and plus the glowing of a bright light made me think of that also

I'm guessing that she could be even a cure for the outbreak if she came back to life but not as a zombie.

When i saw the end i was like; "Oh my god… she's dead ?!" It scared me so much Lmaoo

My mind felt like it was hit by a nuke. I mean seriously that plot twist, WHAT?!?

I admit, I gasped at the ending. It makes a great many things clear from the first 7 eps. Also, I am thrilled that these are going to continue. Guy, you are a masterful story teller using silent film (well, set to music). I can't wait for the next one!

this truly is a beautiful series, not everything needs words to tell a wonderful story. i enjoy this a lot.

Not quite. Despite this episode being a prequel, 0:53 shows that it's taking place in December of 2012, 26 years after her death, too long to have no visible signs of aging, especially for a child.

^ Ya, there was also an image on "ep 4 Family" taken with her family. Dates 17/1/13 which I think is Jan 17, 2013. My opinion is something in the outbreak (idk) caused her to somehow reincarnate. Also she isnt normal

Okay, what happened was this. The little baby girl was dead to begin with and when the zombie apocalypse happened she was brought back to life. Read the numbers that were on the cross, she only made it one year. Have a bit of common sense, why bury a living baby in the ground.

imthetube44 Once you bury a corpse, it doesn't seem particularly right to dig them up again and bury them somewhere else. But something that makes me interested is how she's not a skeleton, so now I'm presuming that this series is taking place during the 1980's.

In episode 4, the flashback episode where the mom gets her leg bitten by the zombie, the hidden picture the girl finds in the frame has the date 17/1/13, January 17, 2013. So this apocalypse is taking place this year. Which means, they buried their kid 20+ years ago. What I am questioning is why would someone have a 20+ year old grave in the backyard for their child? The skeleton argument is a valid one but I am sure he will clear that up. I, at least, hope he does.

This series got me asking questions I didn't think 💭 I'd ask and I love ❤️ it

She rose from the dead like the other zombies, but she appears human. That's something that needs to be explained at some point, I think :P

Child was one year old (looks and acts at least 3) Was Buried from 1986 to about 2013 (according to the date on photograph in a previous episode) and yet should be pretty well rotted by then. Finally, why would they bury a human being in their backyard? It's just werid. I don't know about the laws down Australia but here in America, buddies have to be disposed of properly on predetermined land or cremated. These three problems with the story, bug me.

+No Name No Name 1) Doesn't matter about rot or decay, anyone who was dead on the night of the apocalypse rose as a zombie even if there were only bone fragments remaining. The very first zombie you see in episode 1 is actually John Septimus Roe, the surveyor who chose the site of the Perth settlement, who died in 1878. "If thou openest not the gate to let me enter, I will break the door, I will wrench the lock, I will smash the door-posts, I will force the doors, I will bring up the dead to eat the living. And the dead will outnumber the living." 2) It is very weird to have your daughter buried in the backyard. Her mum insisted however, and it's the reason they live in an old church, which technically has an area designated for burials. Mum can't let go of her guilt and needs her daughter close, it's making her a little crazy.

No! Of course not! She only revived at her death because she was chosen by god and she's also the resurrection by god thats why shes not a zombie!

I am still impressed by this plot twist to this day. The way they made me think for myself that she was a random person who wandered in instead of telling me made the twist even better. And there was evidence that i slid over the first time like the fact they had toys in the house. And the fact that she was able to get to the toys with ease. This made it impossible for it to be just added last minute.

After Mondo convinced me to make it a series, episode 4 was the first written, then this one. Was fun to play it like she's just a random girl, and why are the parents so freaked about about her, but then the reveal at the end. Next episode I wrote was 13 I think.

Pez Chino So, in a cartoon flash animation, people in Australia get the right to bury their dead child without a coffin or without even burying it properly right in their yard? The sheer fact that the girl is able to dig herself out of her own grave proves that the grave is very poorly-made, for toddler or not. If a toddler can dig out then what can't? What if some animal digs the grave? What if the weather turns bad? Burying a child in a loose grave in your yard is stupid. It's a wonder why that thing can hold for over 25 years. Flash animation logic, I guess.

The mother insists on having her daughter's remains moved from her initial burial place, they buy an old abandoned church because the zoning laws allow for space for a cemetery. Mum can't be separated from her daughter. Dad definitely thinks it's weird. Can't really talk about it much further without spoiling the plot. The day the dead rise, there's no scientific logic to explain the various biological inconsistencies. Even if there were only bone fragments left, it reformed into a 'living' zombie that was able to dig itself from the ground. This is a supernatural apocalypse. Maxil she got revived not resurrected as revive is when you revive everything if someone resurrects you but something changes aka either they are resurrecting you to bend you to their will but your body is still dead or your soul is trapped and resurrecting is considered black magic while revive is considered light but thats just a small take on it
