He brought his mom into my store on mother's day. He had his mask on, so it wasn't until I took his mom's info, and saw the last name did I realize it was him. It was that voice! His blue eyes... we're in Seattle so he must have been home visiting. I didn't say anything, but I locked eyes with his, he knew I knew.

@@mandyfischer3133they do, for sure. I once met Martin Sheen while I was working Security at a Target and after helping him, mentioned I wouldn’t say anything to anyone about him being in the store and he replied, “Thanks, I appreciate it” with a wink and a smile 😊

I’ve only ever watched a handful of TV shows in my life and Dwight Schrute is one of my favorite characters. I would have melted-exploded in that situation too.

Rainn seems like such a sweetheart. And then he gives his fan another treat by talking about it on the talk show.

I just freaking love Rainn Wilson.

Even better would be him turning to him in full character as Dwight and say something insane.

He does a great job of telling the story.

That’s so cool that Rainn did that. Some celebrities probably would have remained incognito. Proves that he’s a normal guy

I'm happy he wanted to give that guy that experience. A truly good human. Things like this make up all the fun and good memories of life. Also the fans are what keeps the show alive. That's a good moment right there

I would have lost my sh!t seeing the great Dwight Schrute in that manner!!

A friend of mine introduced me to the office and now I'm hooked it truly is one of the greatest sitcoms. It's just blows my mind rainn wilson hated being on the show. But having said that the best years of the office was the steve carell years. 💯

Ok, despite the hint of narcissism, that is kind of brilliant

I managed a Burbank Ca restaurant and it was our grand opening week. I was helping the hostess station by taking names and a customer said "Koenig party of 3". I looked up smiling to ask how that was spelled. It was Walter (Chekov from Star Trek) so quickly followed up with "Oh... never mind"..lol. Another of those unexpected stars in your face moments.

I had an experience like the plane guy once. I worked somewhere, and one of my brothers showed up. He stood in my line. I didn't recognize him for awhile. My brain was not able to compute! If you see something that doesn't fit into your world view, your brain has to make what it sees fit with your understanding of reality. So it couldn't be my brother. He would never be in my town at my job! And plane guy could never believe Rainn Wilson would ever be on a plane next to him. 😅

I loved his detective show. They should not have canceled it.
