RAIL CRANE FULLY RC - Technic Lego Trains - Eisenbahndrehkran
A lot of Lego and Electric Motors and Controllers!
I'm sure you'll like it!
Train track is made of Technic Beams and is 9 studs wide and 2 studs high. Trains are 11 studs wide and some parts 13 studs.
Wheel Modification is required, see my other video.
I started this video a couple weeks ago before the big train accident in The Netherlands. It's a bit unfortunate timing.

Lego likes their builds to not be over complicated they find if they make it too complex less people purchase them.
Wow that's a cool one scene
This was incredible! Would be quite remarkable to somehow see two of these cranes hooked together and recover in tandem onto a flat car or something like that (can't even imagine how long building just one took but an idea nonetheless)

Thanks! I have seen some videos of recovery work in real life and they usually don't lift a complete locomotive but first one side and then the other side back on the rails. I probably will not take my crane apart so if I build another one I will make a video with some crane team work.

Yes, the one that runs on two tracks and us pushed by two locomotives, a bit like the German Schwerer Gustav railway gun.
Your a very clever person. Seriously. Some ruptured tanker cars would be a cool recovery. Or offloading a military tank.
Your channel and your MOC engineering is SOOO great... I've never thought before that making Technic railroad tracks and vehicles is even possible, yet you use Technic bricks to make the most realistic brick train models I've ever seen!!! Respect, bro!

This cable-based crane is incredibly cool for such a project, although I do wonder if the bigger air pistons would allow for "hydraulics" that are actually pneumatic for the modern one. I suspect they don't have the strength at the pressure you have from the lego compressor though unless the were doubled up or something. Either way, an impressive build, and I appreciate that you go through all of the step to unpack and pack up the equipment to maximize realism.

I think I will build a crane like the EDK 750. So that should have 2 linear actuators to lift the boom. Not sure if you know but there are Lego linear actuators that look like pistons but actually work like a nut and bolt so no pneumatics but you need to connect an axle to spin the bolt to go up/down. They can handle more weight and don't have issues with air leaks. But in theory I could also use pneumatic because a Lego compressor is pretty powerful. I use compressors form my "steam train" so I already have one. We'll see what works best.
Awesome👍

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia A cartoon of a group of cavemen. One points at a diagram of a dinosaur's tail with four spikes. The caption reads, "Now, this end is called the thagomizer...after the late Thag Simmons." This Far Side cartoon is the source of the term thagomizer. Best evidence for the use of the thagomizer is this Allosaurus tail (caudal) vertebra showing a punctured process. The hole perfectly matches a thagomizer spike.[1] A thagomizer (/ˈθæɡəmaɪzər/) is the distinctive arrangement of four spikes on the tails of stegosaurian dinosaurs. These spikes are believed to have been a defensive measure against predators.[2][1] The arrangement of spikes originally had no distinct name. Cartoonist Gary Larson invented the name "thagomizer" in 1982 as a joke in his comic strip The Far Side, and it was gradually adopted as an informal term sometimes used within scientific circles, research, and education.
È la prima volta che vedo questo video e devo solo dire meraviglioso complimenti veramente un sistema fantastico.
awsome build! You will find it easier to lift if you put cardboard or something under your crane base. Carpet is way softer than real world situational equielevent. Good Luck!
I watched you since the start of the channel you're a real talent.
Train Derailmant is a good mission
IKEA and Lego coming together in a fantastic feat of Scandinavian engineering.
🏆#1 crane 🏆
You exceeded my expectations! Very impressive, nice job!
I just learned that you can use beams as track. I don't currently have any rail stuff but definitely keeping that one in my mind.
I can't get enough of these trains
Awesome!Just a detail: @10:15 in real life, to do this kind of liftings, they would use a beam and a single crane hook.
I like how the crane prepares itsself with only a little ammount of man power, good building
Awesome 🎉
The technic dudes pulling the pins was a nice touch. ;-)
Just an idea, try making a derailer for the tracks, after all, its lego technic.
you are a genius
That crane was in the Fleischmann model train catalogue 40 years ago, and I SO wanted to have that thing. When I get back my attic I'm going to make me one like that, but in non technic lego. I guess with less functions...
ok, this is insane
This is the Best video so far... i watch these with my little boy, his is fascinations are trans AND cranes. While i enjoy the incredible technic he likes all the moving lego trains. The addition of that lego technic bro and the surprise dino accident are the things which made it so enjoyable today. It feals more light hearded then and you can feal all that work you put in that project. Greatt work

Thanks, cool that you & son liked it! I will probably add the technic guys in future videos. Unfortunately they are too big for my scale trains, and the mini-figures are too small. I hope my videos will get a lot of views so I can buy a better camera and more lights for my room. Will be fun!

Awesome video
love the builds and dedication! maybe a bridge/rail recovery?
A Thomas and themed crash maybe? This is so cool :) My boyfriend introduced me to this! :)
Outstanding! It has all the fuctionality a real one has!
The next recovery mission, to make it BIG, when you make second, modern crane, should be to recover the crashed OLD CRANE 😎🤓(EDIT: with BOTH COUNTERWEIGHTS mounted 😱😱😱😱)

Amazing! You should make a heavy duty knuckleboom crane that can lift a whole train.

during the covid lock down there was plenty of time to build. The crane actually a bit over-designed because it looks like an old steam rail crane but they didn't have pneumatic stabilisers. But if I can make it RC I will do it haha

Let’s see how it handles your pneumatic steam locomotive and coach, quite possibly show it off laying new track? Or having it help build a bigger crane?
Very nice work
wow! fantastisch gedaan! de kraan ziet er echt geweldig uit! je kan misschien de pneumatische locomotief recoveren.
Great vid, and great creativity with the Legos. I find your stegosaraus ( legosaraus?) interesting. I'm a old model railroaded who is influenced by a even older American model railroaded by the name of John Allen, he modelled in HO scale and had a stegosaraus as a yard switcher (loco #4) on his model.railway.
This is awesome, nice work.
i think the next acedent should be a train fliped

Try doing a big boy wreck (like 4005 for example.)
As a modern rail crane I would prefere the german Goliath crane.
That lift looking like the great elevator from mad max fury road bruh
I love this video! 3 great things - trains and legos and engineering. My only criticism is that there was a curse word in it, which I find a problem just because I wanted to share this with a student of mine that is on the autism spectrum and curse words are inappropriate for kids
A full train, such as the technic version of the Emerald Night
it'd be interesting for a engine to get recovered from a fall to area with no tracks like from the top of a some what large fall
Very cool. Have you thought about increasing the counterweight to be able to lift heavier cars?
@legotechnictrains8999
Жыл бұрын
Thanks, but I think the 2 battery boxes are the limit because with more counterweight(s) the crane will drop too much at the back (when it's not lifting anything). Unfortunately the plastic Lego turntable is a bit flexible.
You must make a multi track drifting!!!!!!!

that is the plan for the next rail crane. Luckily it does not need to go fast
Remove a jumbo jet off the tracks with two cranes
hey to get you more counter weigh i use the lego weigh bricks 73090b for my smaller train crane but i can lift heavy. each brick is 53.3 grams and i use about 8 on mine
I like trains- (gets run overd by trains)
I really like where this is heading. Great elevator and crane (all other trains are ofc great as well). The only thing I would criticize would be that boring part with the dinosaur. Tips fo future missions? Maybe something like repairing tracks. Or you might try building cargo-car that would unload cargo (coal, rocks) to the side. And combine it with excavator.
