You know it's weird. We never met Freddie, most of us anyway, but we somehow feel we know him. Every time I watch this I feel so close to him. I watched it in 1985 when I was 15 and felt the same way. Freddie was special. Tears are streaming down my face for him. Pure love

Adam Lambert does not replace him by any means, nor are he and the rest of Queen trying, but....he is the only one in the world who can handle these songs vocally AND present them with the kind of stage presence they require. He does Freddie proud. Only other one is now passed on too. George Michael totally could have filled in for Freddie full-time if he had wanted.

I think it's because he is realizing that Freddie has done the impossible. Funny that right after that he hears Freddie do the call backs and just turns around and even though you can never see his face, he probably saying to himself awwww shit. I know before the concert Brian asked Freddie not to do the improv call out because it was not their crowd and if he did it, it could have been disastrous with no one following. (In Morgan Freeman's voice) but on that day, Freddie already knew.

Absolutely amazing that Freddie could sing like that without ear monitors.

Yeah as a guitarist I can barely hear the singer from my amplifiers and the drums distort the sound too only way to know where you are is usually a baseline or drumming section to keep you in time. Now somebands like the who idk how it worked but it did , all lead players playing together lol like queen

Queen begins and ends with Freddie. He embodied the band's identity, it's triumphs and failings and he was the psyche whose loss it couldn't survive. He was more than just a singer. He was a charismatic genius, not afraid to go after what he wanted. He inspired not only as a writer and as a musician and as a performer but ultimately as a man. He died young, he lived his life to the full and he crammed in an amazing amount of music. More than most people could in five lifetimes. What a brave and courageous man. He never dies because he lives in his songs and our hearts. Love you...Xoxox ❤

I miss Freddy so much. He was taken way to early, but thank heavens we still have ways like you tube to watch him. He's an amazing artist as is the entire band. I remember watching live aid when I was little and it was my introduction to queen. Thank you to Sir Robert!
