You are right about full offline combat simulation, try put it on "off" to have more populated areas. Also, if you play with default ZCP values of stalker population, 0.5, it's too low. Use at least 0.8, better 1. Also change respawn time to the minimum, that is 3 in-games hours. And in addition, raise the stalker squad size to 1.3. Now enjoy the real Zone how it had meant to be played.

There is a Reduced Enemy Vision in Fog mod in the gamma pack. Just not enabled by default. I think it only affects stalkers.

Ive finished the STALKER ANOMALY as Bandit and have to say I was disappointed a little. I understand that in story for them there is nothing much but I felt like a courier most of the time. Also I visited all the sceret laboratories just for fun and would love some weird shady things like for me to be able to sell the documents to other factions just for the fun.....like I did a lot of missions for scientists with mercenary unifrom. GAMMA looks interesting and I wanted to install it just looks weird to go to discord to do so....IDK

use all your money for ammo until you find a gunsmithing kit in a stash

Also use HP ammo, hydroshock and buckshot for mutants, they deal the most damage but are bad for armored targets

​@@deathmight12 just grind sidequests. There is a Taskboard in the PDA that helps a lot with finding sidequests. pro tip: Keep all the mutant parts you find in your inventory in case a random stalker wants them.

get a shotgun and a load of buckshot for mutants, it gets easier once you get gunsmithing tools and start to craft ammo

Those misclicks on the sleeping pills where painful. Can’t you just right click on stuff to use it from the inventory? That makes it so you never use anything you don’t want to

It pains me how you don't loot silencers off of enemies. It's good money for the weight. One raid north netted me 30k in silencers alone.

I wanted to try GAMMA but the installation process is so tediously over the top I'll just pass. Wake me up when there's a simple download link.

Some dude has the most straight forward install guide it didn’t take me long except the download times it’s worth.

5.56 AP in stalker is trash. max level pen is armor level 3A for some reasson. use 5.45x39 or 9x39. 308.
