I can now hear the words 'on off' when I play this song with pedal. :)

That’s the idea. Good job!
I watched this just for tips since I’m playing this piece for an honors recital and this helped a ton
Josh, you need to make a La Campanella full video for your viewers
Thank you, and I play in the Russian school of instruction very slowly, separately with the right and then with the left, your informative lesson also opened up opportunities for me as a keyboardist lover. Greetings from Kazakhstan.
I used to play this piece with a lot of “attention in my fingers.” Thanks you for the help.
I’m learning this piece and to have more help with my regular piano teacher really helps since it’s so hard to learn during Covid
so much great advice! the fast triple notes were getting tiring but you “one movement “ motion helped so much and now they sound so clean
Thanks Josh. I've just purchased your full video of this.
The tips you gave on the repeated cords were so help full !
One of the best tutorials of this piece. I was looking for the moment how to practice and play the left hand where i have to play 3 times a chord, caus im doing something wrong when i play and left hand gets tired too fast, caus the "performance" uses too much left hand muscle energy.

this is extremely helpful, thanks!!
You're playing good man, Hi from Moscow)
Good instructions. Very beneficial. Even better since Josh has not 'learned' this piece himself.
Damn you are really good at explaining stuff
Gpod stuff as always Josh!
This guy is GOOD! Will you come teach in Denver???
can i use sostenuto pedal on first sections? i tried both pedals (sustain or sostenuto) but i can't decide.
Good!

MastrDJ I have plans to do the Scherzos in the future...I haven't played the Rachmaninoff. If you have specific questions, send me a picture of the passage you're struggling with via email and I'll take a look at it and send you a suggestion on how you can approach it. Best of luck in your studies
I'd to purchase the full tutorial but the payment program won't let me complete the purchase.
I ordered your download, but it got lost somewhere. I believe it's hackers.
why no mention of the middle section ?

Many commented during Anton Rubinstein's life that he resembled Beethoven. That is a picture of Beethoven.
Not knowing this piece very well at his age !! It is not tight enough, it is a march not a dawdle. Floppy fingers on a out of tune piano. At 88,i have played this for many years, watch Lugansky- masterful.
I watch this to stidy English I am Korean
hello my name is eric and I been playing for 2 years now as a 15 year old... is this a hard piece to learn?

Joseph Wooten yea, the middle part is so difficult if u gonna play it fast. I have played 5 years almost 6, and I'm 12 years old now, and Im almost done with this piece, so you should probably wait 3-4 years:-)

Joseph Wooten but since ur 15, your hands is bigger than mine so, it might be easier for you:-)

Sonata Opus 49 no2, are you kidding me? That piece whole piece is sightreadable, and no where near as hard as the Rachmaninoff by any stretch of the imagination.
You have not really played it really well and you just did a tutorial? Strange

🤔 I don’t think so. He has the musical experience to detect the difficulties of the piece and give insights on how to deal with those as well as give musical insights. I can tell he hasn’t played this piece at all just by listening how he plays it, can you? And what he is suggesting is very helpful
