An In-depth Tutorial on Rachmaninoff Prelude in G Minor, Op.23 No.5 (Part One)
Музыка
Part One of my tutorial covers music up to measure 34. I discussed how to play the repeated chords lightly and rhythmically, how to make the jumps clean and accurate, how to keep your hands supple and reduce the tension when playing heavy chordal sections. Other details such as tempo, pedal, and fingering suggestions are also included.

This helped me so much - I was really struggling with how to pedal measure 7. Thank you!

That’s why I came here too 😂😭
God, sent me an angel. I'm learning this piece at the moment. Thanks for your excellent tips, really helpful. 🤍🤍🤍😇😇😇
This is the most wonderful tutorial on one of my favorite Rachmaninoff preludes. This G minor Prelude and the no 4 in D major, and the G major op 32 no 5 have always been 3 Preludes I have "played around" with but never quite finished! Thanks to your videos I am now back at the piano, determined for master all three once and for all!

@@tingtingzhang Hi, you said that for amator pianists tempo should not be our top focus. But is there a minimum tempo required for this piece to be correctly interpreted ?
Can't thank you enough for this! Thank you ❤

Such a wonderful teaching, such a great video!! Right now I am not playing or teaching this piece, but everything you said reminded me of something in the pieces. I’m teaching right now. Interesting how so many principles of playing and teaching apply from one piece to the next.
This was very helpful and you’re very nice ☺️

Thank you for sharing this tutorial, Ting Ting! It has helped me to find ways to practice this prelude, and then be able to approach it with style. I'm glad to have found this video, since I have this piano piece in a book called "59 Piano Solos You Like to Play."

真的谢谢您! I just started learning this song and miss having a piano teacher to help me with the little details to really perform a piece. Plus I was struggling with how to pedal correctly 😂
great
Учу эту пьесу, интуитивно делаю все как советуете❤😊
I am nowhere cllose to playing this thing at full tempo, but I do love playing certain bits at about 70% speed just to soak in its glory!
Someone who knows what she is talking about! I am teaching this incredibly difficult piece to one of my pupils.
Can you make a tutorial for Rachmaninoff 18th Rhapsody a theme of Paganini? I couldn’t find any good tutorials on it and your tutorials is very detailed, wishing the same tutorial for 18th . Thanks
谢谢老师!之前一直搞不清楚踏板怎么踩,现在好很多了!

Hello do you give online lessons?
in 14:52 , should i connect the top notes?
@tingtingzhang
Ай бұрын
If you have big hands and you feel comfortable connecting, fine. But in general when playing fast octaves and chordal passages, letting go of the notes quickly is always a good way to release tensions.

Thank so much again for your in-depth tutorial. You help me a lot for learning this piece since I am only an amateur. After practicing months, I just finished my video and posted in KZread. kzread.info/dash/bejne/YoKZo6auiNTFac4.html
Audio quality is very poor.
