Plus California law requires spousal support to be paid even if temporary from the higher earner in the marriage to the lesser earning spouse. Where's all of the empathy? Maybe he was being physically or emotionally abused, right? Women file 80% of divorce petitions & if she's educated it goes up to 90%. Men don't leave, so for a man to do this she must've really messed up badly.

Bryan asking for spousal support is interesting…I understand Rachel may have made more money during the marriage because of her entertainment jobs but he continued to work as a chiropractor so was still making his own money and didn’t like give up his job.

Yeah but California law doesn't require understanding. It's about the numbers. The math. Whoever earns more has to pay & the one that earned less is allowed to ask for support. Don't be surprised if she counters with a temporary restraining order due to claims of domestic abuse. It's a common tactic anytime a man leaves. Men rarely file for divorce so she must've really messed up badly & instead of taking personal accountability & admit their faults and God forbid apologize to a man, women typically try to create a distraction with an abuse claim so that they can become the victim & heroine who survived a closeted monster-who somehow only became one AFTER he leaves. But we'll wait and see.

I saw it coming two years ago! He seemed unhappy and very contemplative! I think deep down inside I think he realized he made a mistake in marrying her: I think he thought she would be a SAHM with 3 kids and not one to pursue a career in the entertainment industry

If there is love there is hope, but they’ll have to focus on their marriage instead of chasing tv careers because that can be toxic. And with them trying to get pregnant, stressful work environments won’t help her situation. Marriage is delicate, it’s important to pay much attention to your married life when you start out and figure out how to be a spouse to each other. Unfortunately for them, they were chasing careers which did not help seeing that they met on a reality show and then got married. The couples who made it from that reality show are the ones who focused on the marriage right from the get go and not being focused on chasing a new tv career. Marriage is not easy that is why you got to have your career figured out.When you tie the knot, that’s not the time to make big career changes because that will take all of your time and effort and the marriage will suffer. We are meant to focus on 1 thing at a time, so we can do it well and once that goal is reached we move on to the next. Ppl often talk about juggling and in the end they get divorced. There is no such thing as juggling through life cos you will neglect some part of your life and eventually catastrophe will hit. I believe, opportunities will always come to us it’s up to us to decide which opportunity is right at the right time. At times the opportunity is right but not the timing, that’s when you have to let go and know you will get there just not at this time. I wish them all the best. They were such a cute couple but there focus were not in their marriage. Marriage was secondary while they both wanted it. God takes things away when you asked and he provided but then you neglect what he has granted you.

He gave his his Miami practice that he had alot of clients and he had a lot of connections in Miami. He gave up all that to go to LA so she can pursue her entertainment career. He’s been gone from Miami for 3+ years. He has to rebuild his Miami practice and client list…but that will take time. So yea he deserves to get spousal support

I have friends who divorce and the man refused to accept spousal support.

It’s sad. Very sad. What’s REALLY fking freaky is that it was only a couple days ago that I thought of them and a divorce had crossed my mind..based off really nothing since Rachel only shared positive things abt her marriage. If ANYTHING, i guess it was maybe the fact that they’ve been together for as long as they have and have been trying for children per what Rachel’s shared with unfortunately no results, but fertility issues happen all the time in marriage so I didn’t think that’d b grounds for a divorce. And now, THIS! VERY weird. I really hope this wasn’t due to fertility issues 🥺 I hope they would stay united through that. It was so recent that Rachel and him had been photographed together at an event, that she posted a New Years compilation post w him in it, and had shared that they were still trying for kids but that it had been harder than anticipated. The fact that he’s requesting spousal which is ODD may imply that it was smthing else? Who knows. It’s very sad bc I hoped that they would remain together since they seemed to b doing so well for so long despite what racist Bachelor Klan members had been wishing for. I know they defied many people’s expectations of longevity, including my own. I hope it at least ended amicably. He listed their date of separation as the 31st so unless he bent the truth to protect their privacy, this was such a quick decision… it couldn’t have been that quick, right? This had to be building… sad nonetheless! Wishing them both healing and to stay TF away from social media and or to limit their comments.

Bro, if you saw both of their Instagram pages, you would tell that it was gonna be ending soon. She was always out partying going to parties, girl trips, girl nights out, while he was stuck at home, taking care of the dogs, and working as a chiropractor. She was living that LA entertainment life that she wanted. He likely got tired of it. He’s Latino so he’s not use to see a wife act like that. His mother certainly doesn’t. I wouldn’t be surprised if she crossed boundaries he wasn’t comfortable with or she cheated. He’s going to be good because I know people in Miami who were his patients. His office was always packed. I’d say she is damaged goods and at this point, she’s not that great in front of the camera. @@SupernaturalLove100 I am not Jamaican , I am from Trinidad, where I grew up hearing that Phrase all the time, and although I liked them as a couple, some little gut instinct I had told me something was not right, and that feeling,even in my own life, proves to be right. I wanted her to end with Peter as well. But the way she treated him at the AFR and the way she talked about him in interviews, always dragging his name through the mad, he can never look at her the same

It maybe Bryan, has someone else he want to be, with, like in some other lady, and that's why he file, for divorce, we have to read between the lines.

Due to Lindsey’s career she’s been spending a lot of time working and they haven’t been really living together because they were on different coasts of the country. No one likes to hear about divorce because it’s always painful and one way or another.

I never thought they were right for each other. She had more chemistry with Peter.

She did not ruin anything. It is what the bachelor franchise said that got him in trouble.

Her wonder mouth is a bit much for anyone to take. She knows it all 24/7. Just a control freak.

He moved from beautiful Miami where he had his business. He left his family and culture. He is a chiropractor and it is not easy to leave everything at 39. He has supported her while she made a career in TV. He is Latino, educated, family-oriented with his culture in Miami. No kids. She is working like crazy. I too left Miami and my Latino culture and am tired. I completely understand because that is where I feel at home. No apologies that he is asking for spousal support. I lived in LA and it’s awful.

LA has a huge latino culture…those much more Mexican with a bit of some other central americsn…where as Miami it’s mostly Cuban, Colombian, Venezuelan…but all still latino. Everything I agree 100%. He made more sacrifices, lost all of his clients in Miami and his connections to start brand new in LA. He didn’t get his own practice until sometime so likely used alot of his savings. The LA practice was doing good but let’s not forget he had to pay much more taxes in state (CA) and local (LA). Now there’s no reasons for him to stay in LA and he has to restart again in Miami. He needs to get paid.

He won't get much. California has a very strict built in prenuptial agreement.

I was optimistic about them as well but maybe.....The Bachelor franchise is a terrible way to approach a marriage.

I’m honestly surprised they lasted this long. Peter seemed like more of a match for her.

Peter's ex-girlfriend revealed text messages that showed he was going on the show to promote his business. He wasn't there to find a wife and Rachel kept choosing him to stay. She still seems resentful over Peter refusing to propose and wasting her time.

I can’t stand Rachel Lindsay!

How disappointing!! It happens but Man oh man!! What are the stats in these failures? Surprised but can’t say I’m totally shocked. And what a time to announce this right before Gerry and Theresa’s wedding. I just don’t think this is any way to find ones forever partner although Tristan and Ryan made it work as well as some of the other but the Majority of them don’t last very long at all. Wishing them both the best as they part ways. So sad!!

It's amazing how they refer to him as a chiropractor but yet Rachel as a reality star when she was actually a lawyer.
