I love this series so much! It's really interesting to see the different drinks around the world
That honey measuring tip is GENIUS!
My polish side of the family is going to love this when i make this drink for them in the summer! Thank you so much for the recipe, it looks really refreshing!
I can watch these videos all day, seriously. Love the videography and presentation!
Im so excited for next weeks!
If you want something more substantial, check out Es Pokat, Mango Lassi, Champurrado or The Slacker Shake. Plenty of "thicker" drinks in the playlist :)
Finally something from Poland! I love it :)
Basically, the drink presented here is called "kompot" - it's a type of beverage made of boiling different kinds of fruit. The rhubarb variation was pretty popular a few decades ago - my grandma would make me some out of the rhubarb growing in our back yard :) It's also pretty common to make kompot out of apples, pears or anything that grows in your own garden. I really love the show and I'm looking forward to more tasty drinks!
We're pretty proud of that one ;)
Thumbs up for the honey tip alone. Love this series, and the compositions you do.

I cooked rhubarb once in a recipe I made up, and now i'm excited to try this! I think I'll make it tomorrow, it looks like it'll be really good. And and it's way simple!
It looks amazing!
The song that you used was hilarious! Awesome video as always TasteMade!
Hahaha, I love the music! The lyrics were funny, the old style Polish with regional feel of mountains! I've never had this drink though, I have to give it a go! Thank you for making this video!
I bought rabarbar right after seeing that this recipe is comming next!:) My dad is finally coming back from the hospital tomorrow after almost 2 months and he loves this drink very much! I am doin this in the morning!:) Oh! And I love you guys for using this song!:D
My mama used to make this for me when I was little. It will always be my favourite!

Finally something I can make without looking everywhere for the ingredients. You always have ingredients that I can't find anywhere. Luckily I can find rhubarb in my garden, or find it in a store ;) I will definetly try it :D
I'm probably never going to make any of these drinks but I just love your videos!
I love the music

CLEAR POT!! That is so awesome!!
this sounds really good. If I can get hold of some rhubarb I'll totally make this.
Looks delicious!
Instead of studying, I just watched this entire playlist! It's brilliant! It would also be awesome if you could make Sorrel, which is a drink most commonly drunk around Christmas time but can be drunk all year round. It is very popular in Barbados and elsewhere in the Caribbean. My family always has it at Christmas and other occasions.
Mmm it looks so yummy!
i always look forward to the music
Perfect song, ask any Pole. Great video, as always! Keep it up!
Oh How lovely ^.^ My grandmother made me this when I was a child . It's tastes so good . You remind me childhood. Thanks you . I adore Your channel.
Ah, all of your videos are very fun to watch :D
i will definitely try this. i love rhubarb and drinks sweetened with honey!
Fab! Got some rhubarb growing in the garden, this sounds like a perfect thing to do with it! Cheers guys! x
Perfect song, as any Pole. Great video as always! :)
i love it too! the glass makes it all the prettier ^^
Wspaniałe!
I have always wanted to try rubarb, cause they are not very common where I live, but never knew what to do with them. This looks delicious. Def gonna give it a try!
I'm from Poland. Love you guys. ♥
Just finished making this. Put it in the fridge about 5 minutes ago. Smells and tastes good hot. Would make a good cider-like drink.
especially in combination with strawberry. very tasty!
So simple! I must try this refreshing healthy drink. =D Also, I can't wait for the next video. I tried the instant Aojiru packets, but I'm very excited about how you guys will attempt to make it from scratch!
i really like the music
I am very much Polish, but have never ever heard of this recipe ;) And I loved the song you used! :))
The honey tip is genius!
beautiful colour :)
bardzo dobre!!!!!!
i think its easier to actually run your measuring cup under really hot water and make sure its dry, all of the honey will run out of it a lot smoother.
No-stick honey tip- You can also spray your measuring cup with a light coat of non-stick cooking spray (preferably something without a flavor)
Another tip for measuring out honey (or any other thick, sticky, viscous stuff, such as golden syrup): dip your measuring spoon into hot water before you measure out the honey.

or just do it by eye.
I'm from Poland and I've never heard of it but will have to try it since it's season for rhubarb now :)
It was an orange. We've updated the recipe to reflect it :)
That sounds very sweet and tart! Nice! I have rhubarb in my freezer.
Definitely going to try this one it looks delicious :)
I'am from Poland and in my home we call this drink: "kompot z rabarbaru", also you can do this drink with others fruits: apples, cherries, currants, strawberries, raspberries. If you like, you can mix them. I realy like raspberries with currants. Also I like boiling with fresh mint :-)
Dziękuje
Instead of the plastic wrap, I have a 'push up' measuring cup. It works great for measuring things like honey, peanut butter, any kind of sticky substances. And it flips over to measure dry ingredients too. I think I got it from Pampered Chef, years ago, but am sure the concept might be available in kitchen stores, maybe.
I'm positively surprised by the beverage from my homeland ;D The only thing I would change is the name. I'd call it "Kompot Rabarbarowy", that's how we call those type of drinks (boiled fruit water). Other than that: good job Tastemade, love your channel !
you guys hae awsome videos
Rhubarb alone is very sour but if you mix it with sweetener it's very fruity, kind of like cranberries that have been sweetened. Well, it really tastes like rhubarb, but has the tang of cranberries. It's really good in a rhubarb/strawberry pie with whipped cream.
I really like the sound of that song ^_^
I enjoy the music more than the actual recipes
I love all Tastemade's videos and I really enjoyed watching this one too, but as I am Polish myself, I must put one thing right here : the honey presented in this video is not real honey that any Pole would put in their drink - it's actually artificial one, the remnant of old poor communist era when everything was sarce and people had to make do with cheap substitutes of real stuff. The concoction presented here is similar to golden syrup, it's still produced and used in Poland as a substitute of much more expensive but so much tastier and healthier honey in some types of cakes. However, I don't think anybody would replace honey with this stuff in their drink or on their toast :)
Who is the face between Thirsty for? We want to know who to adore for these awesome drinks and professional filming!
Glad to see that you turned to Eastern Europe as well. You should make cranberry Kissel (Spanguoliu kisielius) (: It's a traditional Lithuanian drink, while all other flavours of it are popular around eastern and Northern Europe.
I hope you are, it's so simple, yet blew my mind
I am from Poland. I've never had an opportunity to taste this drink and I have to change it.
hey, it's amazing i understand almost every word of the song (i'm czech)! i'm so glad you made a traditional drink from Poland (Central/Eastern Europe). What about a Czech one? :-)
THE MUSIC IS SO CUTE
Oooh, looks nice! I wanna try it ^_^
It's like you guys read my mind :P I just got some rhubarb from the farmer's market yesterday wondering what I should do with it.
you should make a show called the thirsty taste testers, where people try every drink that is made and describe the taste.
So delicious! I didn't use hothouse rhubarb, so I didn't get the pretty color. I added a few drops of unflavored food coloring (professional quality) to get a nice hue.
yeah!!
I'm from poland too ;) thanks a lot :)
Catchy song!! :)
Yea, it's callet kompot, my mum is also make for me it :) you can boil it with cherries, strawberies, any kind of fruit you have :)
Ossom, great, im From Poland :)
Simple shortcrust cake with fruits (and maybe with crumble/streusel on top) or sponge cake topped with fruits and jello are the most typical polish easy summer cakes. Or you can just make rhubarb cake/pie ;) Because baked rhubarb is delicious!
Rhubarb is pretty much tasty in all the dishes it's made of :)
the glasses are so cute!
just some old song, it's even more ridiculous when you can understand lyrics, i was shocked when i saw this recipe, but with this song it blowed my mind. A to Polska właśnie:)
those pasteries at 2:08 looks really good...
the song is so pretty, though the singer does have quite a thick Eastern accent. Thanks for a Polish recipe, my mum made it last week actually :)
Oh and this looks really good even though i dont know what rhubarb is!!!
where did you get that glass pot? omg so beautiful.
You can also use the rest of the Rhubarb for something we danes call "kompot" which is really nice to dishes with dark meat because it has that sweet yet sour taste :)
