ALOVE VERA JUICE RECIPE
Serves 1
INGREDIENTS:
-2 T freshly harvested aloe vera
-1 small persian cucumber, 3-4 inches in length, peeled, seeded, and cut into chunks
-½ inch of fresh ginger, peeled
-3 fresh mint leaves
- ¼ cup fresh lemon juice (from 2 lemons)
-2 T Agave Nectar
- ½ cup filtered water
- ice cubes for serving
PROCESS:
-Using a sharp knife, cut near the base of the leaf. this allows the plant to regenerate itself faster than cutting in the middle.
-Cut off a slab about 2 inches long from the (widest) end. Remove the spiney sides, resulting in a top lid and a bottom lid.
-Using a sharp paring knife, carefully remove the outer green peel off the very top layer of the leaf. Turn over and remove the remaining green peel. Now you're left with just the jelly.
-Rinse jelly under water to remove any yellow residue. This is an important step because it removes the indigestible residue that will cause stomach issues if ingested.
-Add rinsed aloe jelly to the blender.
-Peel cucumber with a veggie peeler, remove both ends, cut in half lengthwise, scrape out seeds, and cut into chunks.
-Use a garlic press to press fresh ginger juice from the nub of ginger and add to the blender .
-Juice 2 lemons, resulting in about ¼ cup of fresh lemon juice, and add to blender
-Add 3 mint leaves
-Add Agave Nectar.
-Process for 30 seconds
-Add ½ cup water, then process 5-10 more seconds
-Pour from blender over ice, and serve.

i stumbled upon this Playlist again, 7 years after originally finding it as a teen. it's refreshing to see old videos like this, and now that i'm an adult, it'll be fun to try to make these drinks finally! i really hope you make more videos like these again one day 😊
This song bro..
Oh I suddenly just remembered this series. I really enjoyed the way these videos were produced. I do miss this series (and the Local Flight series too, where are all the episodes?? I can’t find them on youtube anymore)
can you also continue this series??????????!!!!!!!! i loved the music playlist
Did anyone else hear at 0:36 "I watched the prairie dog pee on a tumbleweed"?
I like these kinds of music choices, actually. 😊
Cool, the Raising Arizona music. I like it.
Just a tip: If you are not in a hurry you can cut the Aloe Vera and just hang it somewhere to let it drip over night. Then you can peel it and cut it to use it in the recipe. Great recipe, I shall try it sometime.
Thanks!! I can't tell how long I have been looking for great recipe for this.
Love, love this channel ! Keep'em coming
I always love the music in these videos!
I've been a fan of aloe vera juice for more than 30 years. Besides drinking it I use it for burns (nothing takes that heat away faster) to help heal my cuts, to sooth my aching knees, as a facial and to speed the fading of bruises. Wow, it sounds like I live a very active life, ha! Thanks for this recipe, it is making my mouth water!
no it's pretty smooth and good! tastes really refreshing, would be good for summer
These videos are so fun to watch!i also broke my toe today and these videos have kept my mind off the pain!
Gotta try this one, looks so refreshing, thank you!!!
You guys are fantastic. What a great channel!
I'm loving the editing especially the text effects
Yum !
This looks a lot more appealing than the premade aloe vera juice in the supermarket.
goodness this was a great video
I really enjoy your videos. The quality is great, even the music.
Looks amazing. I will definitely give this a try. We have an aloe plant in our back yard & I have only used it for sun burns.
Yay! I always have these ingredients on hand, subsituting the agave for honey, and a lot of my family have aloe plants so I will try this! And yay matcha! Love that stuff!
Wow this is helpful .I had a bunch of aloe plants growing in my backyard. I dint know what to do with it other than putting it on my skin. Thanks! Nice recipe
in where i live, they dice the aloe vera and use it as a topping instead of blending it. that fresh crunch from the aloe vera is really good!
i thought the music was beautiful
I enjoyed the music. And will try this recipe soon!
A nice refreshing summer drink. Thnx.
Yummo! I use a little ginger syrup instead of the agave in my aloe drinks but will def. try adding cucumber!
WOW. Your styling and shooting is impeccable. So so gorgeous.
Fantastic music choice!
Omg, first aloe vera and now matcha.
looks refreshing!
Love your vids and the music too.
ohhh it look delicious i'm going to try this
Yayyy excited for matcha. Love your channel!
Here in Malaysia people mostly use the yellow residue to heal minor wounds. My kindergarten teachers did that to the kids. :D

it will make your throat itchy, that's why you should leave it out when making this drink
Perfect1 Yum!!
I love the music choice!😄
i often watch your videos just because of the great music ^^

In the netherlands you can buy it in every garden store around, bought mine too in such store.
i made this and it was delicious!
Looks interesting. I bet it's very refreshing with the cucumber, mint, and lemon. Yum
Looks so good! I want to grow aloe vera! so many things i wanna grow..

I have this stuff growing right in my backyard. Will definitely be trying this soon. :)
Thank you
I'm from Puerto Rico and my grandmas used to make cold remedies using aloe, honey, lemon and a bit of white rum -i think the rum was just for their enjoyment, if you know what I mean ;D- but they were delicious and helped the colds go away faster.
Thanks for posting this! I'll have to wait 'til my plant is healthy enough again to snip off a stalk, but it sounds cool!
The music!
And I'm still looking for aloe vera to buy. Marking this away for when I actually find some!!
Why not? Agave Americana and Aloe Vera are both grown in (but not exclusively) in Mexico. At least on in the states, both are seen as "Mexican" plants. Agave Syrup/Nectar is a vegan alternative to honey. They're both essentially just sweet sugar syrups.
Yum..
too bad it's really rainy today, I feel more like I need a hot chocolate rather than an aloe vera refreshing drink but I'll keep in mind!! I always love your vids guys!
god the yodeling...
OMG!!! you are so right! I had to check a second and third time. This means I was very focused on the drink ;)
tejuino!!! mexican drink really refrishing and excellent for hangovers :)
Can't wait for the Matcha video!
I agree with joy Lin
yay can't wait for matcha!
yep! i used 2 T of honey instead and it worked great
I'M SO EXCITED FOR MATCHA
I really, really did!!
That looks very refreshing! VERY REFRESHING. O_O
Ur videos are great
I have a little aloe vera plant you can usually get them from plant stores if you don't live in a desert climate where they grow naturally, i think
please make sahlab ive been looking for a recipe and id like to see you guys doing it......
Loved the song ;)
This looks delicious, but I'm so excited you are doing Matcha next week :D I love that stuff.
Can't wait for the matcha next week!
yes, use raw honey or even stevia. the flavor will be slightly different, but it's better than drinking that agave nectar, especially if you are sensitive to fructose.
Can't wait for matcha!!!
Anyone else start laughing at the music at about 0:42?
make ginger tea! its so warm and cozy
I'm sure you could. Agave nectar/syrup and Honey are often substituted for one and other.
yay! matcha!!
yay matcha! I was thinking y'all needed to do it :)
This music was in Raising Arizona!!
agave is like syrup. you can replace with sweetner you like, such as honey
Tempting. .
i like it when there is aloe vera chunks in it
Love eating Aloe Vera. :D I always have it in my Honey Green Tea when I'm at a boba shop. XD
Try "Sahlab" it's an Egyptian drink white with nuts and coconut shaves ;) milk and corn starch ! Try it
Finally a Thirsty recipe that is kinda a healthy drink and isn't full of sugar.
Seems refresing
Aloe vera is simple to grow - it doesn't like much water, but it's pretty hardy! Also, you can get giant slabs of the stuff in asian supermarkets. :)
Thanks a lot... uv d stuff
I'm sure you could! Agave has a low GI and is 'sugar-free' so is great for diabetics etc. but honey would work nicely. :)
I hope you start doing warm drinks for Autumn and Winter time :)
நன்றி
I kinda love the music haha
Saw that you guys made Bandung! I recommmend you guys try making Teh tarik!
i always knew aloe was good for your skin, we used to have one and would break off the leaves (or whatever) and rub it on sunburns; worked like a charm.
Lol was good with this music!!!!
Agreed. Halo-halo isn't much of a drink. But I would definitely like to see their take on Sago't Gulaman! Most of the time they just taste like yucky medicine, but I had exceptional ones! :D
omg can't wait for matcha
Mmmmm!
Matcha = green tea ? Goes well with red bean... Yummy!!!
OMG!!!! this is the song from Raising Arizona
