Robin, what you are witnessing at 4:56 is an emulated version of the classic Papa's game "Papa's Taco Mia". The software that emulates the game is called "AwayFL", which is pretty buggy, but most of the time it's only visual.

Bro I was playing one of those games while watching this, I also remember that papa’s pizzeria was really laggy on my Mac, like 15 fps on a good portion and .5 fps on a bad one (no, that’s not a joke

The fact Robin doesn’t know any of the Papa Louie games makes me sad

I had a DS Lite where the top screen had a red tint, and unless it's at the right angle, the colors would be really messed up. Only personal experience I've had of Software Gore. Edit: it would actually be Hardware Gore, sorry

Yeah I have one that's gone to just white or colorful vertical lines, rather than actually displaying the image regardless of what angle I have the top screen at. I know it's probably a bad connection somewhere, but I can't currently be bothered to take it apart far enough to fix it

5:46 If I remember correctly, that's actually a problem with InnoSetup, the program used to make the installer. It is extremely finicky in what image formats it accepts for that sidebar image, and if you got it wrong, it doesn't complain, you just get spaghetti like that.

Many old in-flight entertainment touch screens actually ran Linux (apparently, some new ones still do, but Android is becoming more common) and famously, Delta Airlines has a particularly bug-prone Linux system on some of their older aircraft. I ran into those exact blank boxes on the entertainment menu on not one but two of their aircraft, at my seat of all seats! Edit: I had to add that I’m so familiar with the UI of those screens that I still knew where to press for movies, even though movies looked like [][][][][][].

Lucky mine just stopped responding to touch inputs and they ended up restarting it for everyone because sound wasn’t working for the safety video The flight length and time estimates also bugged the hell out so it ended up at like 20 hours until we reached the airport (already at the destination airport)

@@superNova5837 You probably saw the Linux penguin, in that case! Mine was bugged out too on one of the flights where I had this problem. Audio worked for the safety video, but touch inputs took minutes to respond, and movies wouldn’t load. I also had the “20 hours remaining” issue on a few flights with Delta.

Ubuntu is a bit of an oddity. It will just have issues at random points, like a kernel panic that comea out of nowhere. Very rare though. I'd recommend Mint for stability.

If I may, there is one i just discovered in the mobile seven deadly sins game. Apparently, in a certain boss battle, if you use two specific characters, the game A.I. goes out of its way to deliberately make you lose. This is significant considering that the game likes to use stance moves, but rejects to use the stance move of one of the two characters, which is considered possibly the best counter in the game.
