My partner is handicapped after his battle with cancer. He has a motorized wheelchair for when he can’t handle walking with his cane. He when at his clinic for his monthly check ups, or just parking, has been harassed many times by old people because he “doesn’t look handicapped” so he told me when that happens he just pulls the collar of his shirt down to show off one of the scars where his shoulder had to be replaced and usually that alone is enough to tell them to turn away, if they are still jerks he asks if they’d like to see the even bigger scar going across his bottom from the hip being replaced. Clothes hide disability a lot and it’s really disgusting that old people assume they have the right to the parking spot just because they are creaky.

Oh my god I'm not crazy about this, I'm an ambulatory wheelchair user and rely on my parents to get me around town. So many old geezers take up the parking stalls at stores when they're perfectly able bodied and healthy enough to not need a parking space closest to the building. I literally have no where to park and get my wheelchair out because they got their special old people pass. I'm actually so mad at this because I had to fight to get mine as I don't have any diagnoses on paper and the government is about as incompetent with dealing with this as you expect.

I have this problem, I'm 30 but health problems I have problems with standing for too long. Depending on how things are going that day I might be lucky if I can manage a short pop into the shops to pick 1/2 bits up and that's it. If its anything more than that I have to rely on crutches which still have a short time limit or electric wheelchair. So if people see me getting out of my car to get those 2 bits I don't look ill... and I have had so many times I have been judged, shamed etc. If there is a close, non disabled space I park there instead just to avoid it happening.

I get this crap all the time. Frankly I've gotten to the point where I just ask them "do you really think I got a handicap parking permit because I have toe jam?" and if they keep on complaining I'll just tell them to call the cops. It physically hurts me to have to walk and stand, so I don't do that unless I have to. Entertaining some Karen in a supermarket parking lot is not a reason for me to suffer pain. I don't have to prove anything to them, I proved my disability to the medical examiner when I applied for the permit. By the same token if I see people park in a handicap spot without a permit, I call the cops. I don't argue with them. I can sit in my car for 20 minutes if I have to. Enjoy your 450 euro fine and the embarrassment of the cops calling you on your cellphone to come move your car this instant or they'll have it towed. I have no sympathy at all for people like that.

  • @Ryanthusar

    @Ryanthusar

    5 ай бұрын

That is where you immediately contact the student union and let them take over, and if you havent got such immediately consult a lawyer. As to not retaking the test, if they tell you that you have to retake it, you have to retake it, by not doing so the university/college can simply mark you having not attended the exam. However what is not fair in that situation is allowing those who had their exam tossed to get partial credit based on a zoom call and those whose exams werent lost being graded normally. You either allow people to retake the exam entirely, or you credit everyone the same way. As to demanding full credit, where is that fairness to others, again someone who was graded because their exam was there could then force you to retake the exam. Never demand full credit in such situations unless you are demanding it for everyone doing that subject. Also to add, the professor could handled it like Vyleph commented below, simply look at your past results and simply given you an average exam result, or simply looked at the class average on the exam results for those that have it and given the average for the class as your result. However, you can then argue you should have a higher result, and if you are in your first year of studies you wont have such, meaning you will still have to resit.

8:40 Some family down the road from me moved out and just abandoned their cat to fend for itself when they left. Nobody noticed until about a month later when he came out of the bushes in someone else's garden all dishevelled and half starved. The poor little guy was basically dead, but a few families in the street kind of shared responsibility for him and left food and water next to the bush he was sleeping in as he seemed to feel safe in there. When winter came, it was too cold for him to be sleeping outside, so we had to kind of coax/corral him into one family's house for them to keep him as an indoor cat. He eventually warmed to them when he understood he was going to be looked after, and eventually ended up being the whole street's shared cat who would sleep in whoever's house with a cat flap he picked on a given night. All the other cats in the street didn't seem to mind him, either. He was just a little vagrant XD He lived another 6 or so years that way before he passed away peacefully one night as he was very old at that point. We were just pleased to have made his later years comfortable and affectionate. Some people are just disgusting abandoning pets like that.

I lived in an apartment for 2 years that had a front lobby that was always unlocked. You couldn't get into the main building without a key, but the front area was free to enter for anyone (totally not creepy at all). I once left instructions to please leave the food in the front lobby (which is visible by the giant awning above it) near the mailboxes, and when I got the notification that it had been delivered, I went downstairs and there was nothing there. I waited a minute, then went to check the back door to the fire escape. That door is locked and sometimes drivers get confused and leave food there. There was nothing. After making another trip to the lobby and still seeing nothing, I went outside to see if maybe they'd just left it on the front steps or something. I ended up walking around the whole building and finding the bag on ANOTHER set of stairs next to ANOTHER side door that's HARDER to access than the front lobby and also locked.

Here is the thing, when delivering to an apartment building you give your ACTUAL apartment number. There is ZERO excuse for them not to come up to your floor and deliver it to your door unless they physically cant do so because the lift requires a fob/key to activate and on such a place there would be a security guard/doorman , or they require to be buzzed in, which again requires them to contact you to get buzzed in. Delivering it just to the address of the apartment is NOT delivering it to your door.

11:28 -- The rear-facing spotlights are only supposed to come on when the car is shifted into reverse. I also think the rear-facing spotlight is an accident. Granted they are freakin huge but who knows if they do a lot of trailer handling or something and needed this also as "work light". Point is indeed that they should not switch on while driving _forward_. This is usually handled by a switch and just as everything that's exposed to the elements: It rots and breaks eventually. The one on my van was located directly at the gearbox and was stuck one day too (and liked to flash up when shifting gears sometimes). And even if it's a dedicated work light: This should disable automatically as well. So without any context, or a video, I'd assume an honest error or malfunction here. Yes, reporting this is still the right move if you can't talk to the owner. They may not notice otherwise. Just like broken break lights. I flashed one out once who had _3_ broken breaking lights. Of 3. Wow. I've no idea how they managed that without noticing. It's not like they all sit on the same fuse or something o0

  • @GreyMaria

Rear-facing spotlights like this are actually aftermarket and aren't on a reverse circuit, but on a switch the driver can toggle any time they please. I had a professor once that even told us before the exam that he wants to check attendance to make sure that he knows who took the exam so that if he somehow lost a exam, he would just give full score on the exam to the students whose tests were lost. It was really fun because then before the test started, the students joked around and asked him where he lived so that they could steal the exams so that everyone got full score. The professor just joked around with them and played along. In the end no exams were lost and everyone got a passing grade through normal means. But I think, something like that is the best way to handle it. If the teacher lost your exam, then he should just treat it as if you got everything correct. I mean depending on how impactful the exam is of course. But since you were there and took the exam you should at least get a passing grade without having to do anything extra or having to retake the exam.

It's the same with a guide dogs, they are trained to find the nearest person for help, which is why if you ever see a harnessed guide dog on its own, you know that their owner has gotten into an issue the dog cant help with. 19:42 I tend to appear the opposite. Despite being older than I look, I've always been mistaken for a kid. As an example, I was sitting at a bar at a bowling alley to bowl with my family, but the owner told me to leave this part of the building because I was too young to at the lounge. When I said I was 21, he wanted to see my ID. I shown him my drivers licenses and it took him a few seconds to realize it and apologize. A more humorous incident happened when me, my aunt, and mom went to Jungle Jim's for breakfast. I ask for a pancake and a glass of milk. A waitress set down a drawing book and crayons while we waited. It confused me, but I brushed it off. When our food arrived I got the same stuff a toddler gets for breakfast. I received a little plastic plate and cup with a silly straw, a small pancake on top of a kids placemat, while my mother and aunt received regular plates with big pancakes. When I asked the waitress what this is, she asked if I was 8 years old. When I said no and said I was 23, the waitress apologized and offered me a new plate. I didn't cause any trouble for the girl, but my mom and aunt just laughed their heads off. There was even a time when someone mistook me for my ex-boyfriend's little sister when I was on a date with him. I think people always assume I'm younger because I'm short, slightly overweight, have a baby face, and have a very soft voice. Even though I'm almost 30, people still think I'm a teenager. When I started my new job last year, some people thought I was 16. I'm flattered when people think I'm younger than I look, but it's still annoying when I'm told I need to leave or so on because they think I'm under 10.

4:56 my mother was disabled basically my entire life so I am very familiar with the handicap tags. My personal policy with them is if I don’t see a tag by the time you r leaving ur car I know there isn’t one. I then tell an employee of the business or I leave a passive aggressive note about not parking there if they aren’t disabled. My friend is disabled now but he doesn’t have the tag and if I’m with him I won’t let him park in a handicap parking spot even if it’s “just for a min” I will literally drop him off at the front door and go park his car myself. Parking in a handicapped parking spot without a tag is the one driving rule I m passionate about and enforce

You were stuck in a contract to use only their ink and paid a monthly subscription for it.

23:02 I have been driving back home from my parents' home with my dog & suddenly had a break issue, so I had to stop to get it looked at before I got on the highway for an hour +. If I was the OP, I would have assumed they were traveling & had an issue, but absolutely wouldn't have been ok with random dogs wandering over to me because the owner can't be bothered to hold on to the leash. Ive had little dogs bite at my ankles before & will not put up with that again! Since the new year, I've been having Wal-Mart delivery people (who I assume are just door dash drivers or something) call me when they get to my home, then say "hi, this is (driver name), I'm here with your Wal-Mart order..." I have always had VERY detailed directions to get to me & to "please put delivery bags on the top shelf next to my door, soda boxes on the shelf below" since its level with my top steps/doorway & can just slide it in with very little effort. I even have included in the instructions that I'm disabled. So, after a moment of waiting to see if the delivery driver is lost (granted, I can see them on the tracker right in front of my place), & when there is no information coming from them, I just tell them to go put it on the shelf by my door like the instructions say. For one guy, I didn't hear my phone ring, so he just left my delivery by the end of my driveway, just off the road. Im happy that tips can be taken off & bad reviews left for the driver. If I was unable to go pick my stuff up due to migraine or severe inflammation, someone might have stolen my stuff. I remember doing eBay bidding for beanie babies! I've used it to get "foreign" versions of a dvd, only to get the wrong movie's subtitles for a hilarious, unique version of the movie.

5:27 To be fair, watched a documentary thing on Stanly, they tried to make those cups before, and it failed as they didn't sell as well as their standard thermos ones they have been making since their founding. So they were very against the new Standly cup craze because they used to make quality products and found making so many different colors redundant. But the same man that made Crocs popular and famous instead of a meme, helped make Standly cups popular and there has even been "limited edition" versions people have been injured for. And now it's an epidemic, to the point I saw just yesterday, the local news doing a segment on how people don't know how to properly clean the cups, and it is causing all sorts of issues for people as all sorts of bacteria and other stuff is building up because people fill them up, and then let them sit there all day, and never clean them. Plus there is all sorts of bugs and other things that get in the cups, again due to people not cleaning their cups. Just using it, then throwing it on a shelf, to grab another one that more matches their outfits. So I'd not blame the Stanly company, as much as the one guy that pushed them into popular media, and used a woman's car catching fire but her stanly cup surviving as a way to advertize how strong the cups are. At least he did buy her a brand new car for using her tiktok as a free advertisement, so it wasn't total exploitation, but it still was using even that as an excuse to seem better. The Company itself was against it, and didn't really care about selling the cups until someone came in promising to make them more marketable, and they aren't going to argue against free money, and hey, they are reliable and good cups that will last a few hundred generations. So when grandma passes, everyone gets a free standly cup in the will!

Alright, fine, I'll trust that and not touch it then, the platform is 4 years younger than my account after all, if you say it's fine, sure. Two years after asking. Some petty child reports my username because I had said 'hey maybe don't use the word autistic as an insult? there just isn't too much space in the mob spawn and they spawn slowly, so they had every right to at least ask that you be more polite about that' And. My account. Was deleted. That was what the official email said. An at the time 12 year old account, in the bin, because the employee that told me my user was fine either lied, or when that policy changed there was no email or notification telling me 'your username may lead to your account being deleted thanks to new terms and services, here's how you can change it for free' I contact support and explain Bout a week later they tell me they'll undo it, but that they will keep a ban on for an extra day? Because they wanted to still punish me for my username? Not for the message, specifically the username. And worse yet? The email implied heavily that once I got back on, I should be able to change my username for free to fix it, and that it would be set to random characters or something until I did. It was not. And they closed the ticket, so I couldn't get help there. Thankfully, a friend had $20 and slid me a gift card to buy a username change because we all didn't want to lose my old account that I'd earned so much on over 12 years of fun But. I asked support about even just getting the robux I'd spent back, and they just shrugged and said it was my problem. Roblox support is such hot garbage.

11:01 Mine's always "Leave package on chair so it does not obstruct the door", EVERY SINGLE FUCKING TIME they obstruct the door, and for some of these packages, it pretty much makes it impossible for me to open the door, so I end up having to walk out the back door, around the house, and then move the package, then go all the way around, just to open the front door to drag the package in.

One of my rage stories took place when I was twelve. My mother had torn a mucle in her leg and had to get surgery. Before she left for the surgery we had an arugment and I ran down the stairs thinking she was chasing me. (She wasn't.) Then I tripped and landed on my ankel. I couldn't move my leg for abiut an hour due to the pain. Turns out that I had broken a bone under my pinky toe. So I couldn't walk on that leg for about a month. My mom had gotten a handicap thing that you'd hand on the car mirror. A lot of the times people would complain to her about not looking disabled, when she could barely walk. And then I'd come out of the car with crutches and one of those boots you wear when you have a broken leg or something. Some people even told me that I was just being over dramatic or that I should just deal with it and walk on my two legs like everything was normal. It really ticked me and my mom off, but we managed pretty well, thankfully.

5:53 i can understand having a couple different cups, so you dont have to wash it immediately. or you can have a few drinks. or even a few different colors so you have some variety. but i hate the monochrome fad fashion thats popular especially since it is extremely wasteful and looks lazy to me because its super easy to put togeather an all green outfit, or an all purple outfit. i love co-ordenating and contrasting outfits

You know, my dad and I were discussing how companies pay employees, and he brought up something that I really agree with. Companies' pay shouldn't be determined by the company itself, but by how much employees are willing to work for. If employees want 15 dollars, companies should either have to raise the pay or deal with less employees. I'm not sure I explained his idea well, but i hope you guys can understand the general gist of it.

12:44 This is severely depressing, but not surprising. In many entry level jobs this would clue you in to what you will be dealing with if you choose a career with them. Those that choose to stay develop a time worn attitude of, "Well, it's better than nothing" and continue on with the familiar but low paying position. Workers need to realize their worth and work towards fair pay. It all starts with wanting BETTER than "better than nothing".

11:58 I work in tech section at a target. This exact scenario is why whenever a guest buys a digital code for a switch game I always make sure to tell them “your download code will be on the receipt” and then point it out when the receipt prints out. AND there is an actual reason it’s printed on the receipt. People will scratch off the codes without buying them, take a picture or otherwise record the code, then put it in a bot that spam enters the code in the hope some poor person buys that card, activating the code. It’s still unintuitive though. Wouldn’t blame the friend.

3:00 I got a solution that’ll benefit both parties…MOVE HER TO A DIFFERENT ROOM…simple, he gets to paint the door & she doesn’t have to be uncomfortable and smelling paint fumes. 8:00 another simple solution…apologize, crack a window open a bit (if possible) and step out of the room for a minute. 18:00 another another simple solution…don’t get her presents anymore…Christmas is about spending time with loved ones & it’s not all about the presents. 22:30 as someone who is deathly allergic to dogs I’d kindly ask her to hold the leashes farther up and move to the farthest seat. 23:30 another another another simple solution…tip 1 cent 25:00 another another another another simple solution “accidentally” knock their phone into the hot spring

8:30 I really don't have problem with this one... They got a puppy, it's too much for their elderly dog to handle (if true, this does happen) and what, they have to get rid of one of them at that point. I don't necessarily think the only right choice is getting rid of the puppy, but I know that's the insinuation here.

4:51 not all disabilities require a wheel chair. My mom has lupus and is almost in her 50s now, but when she was younger (diagnosed at 19, had me at like 20). She has always had severe joint, muscle, and heart strain because lupus is an incurable progressively disabling disease. I help her up stairs, becuase even though she doesn't need a cane, she needs more time and support railing for anything more than 6 steps... Even as a minor I'd have elderly people accost us in parking lots or shoot us dirty looks... I'm not even disabled and I've seen how shitty it feels to be younger and disabled and how EVERYONE and memaw thinks is their business to interrogate you about the validity of your medical conditions.

17:00 My country has law for this exact situation (if a test / exam / quiz / other graded assignment) gets lost or thrown out by either a teacher or outside grading center, if it's still lost after (if I remember correctly) a month, the affected students must be given 100% score on the lost work as a compensation (and because it's impossible to determine whether they had made any mistakes). In case of the instance of teacher or a comity doesn't implement this rule you can sue them (which is nearly always a guaranteed win) and get your grade, monetary compensation and all the court fees covered by said teacher, school or comity

20:24 At Charlotte-Douglas International Airport, (flying AA), our parent’s luggage had its whole handle ripped off, including the tag we had on it. Because of this, our bag nearly got stolen (we had a tag with our name on it on the handle, saying not to steal the bag) because they couldn’t tell which bag was theirs. Luckily, they had a connecting flight and couldn’t get the bag through. We were able to just catch them and tell them that they had mistaken our bag. If they didn’t have a connecting flight, my parents would’ve lost their luggage 😅
