We discuss some creative experiments conducted by RD Burman in this video.
1.)The first experiment we discuss is RD Burman's composition of the title track of 'Betaab'. 'Betaab' is a Hindi romantic film released in the year 1983. This movie is famously known for starting Sunny Deol's career.
In regards to the experiment in this movie, the director Rahul Rawail wanted the title track to tell the audience that the lead actor (Sunny Deol) is a strong individual and also a sensitive individual. Usually trying to exhibit even one trait of an individual is difficult through music but here RD Burman with his music is able to express both of these traits with ease.
2.) The second experiment that we want to talk about is the use of Kishore Kumar instead of Shailendra Singh as the playback singer for the song 'O Hansani' in the movie 'Zehreela Insaan'. This was Rishi Kapoor's second movie after 'Bobby'. Shaliendra Singh was cast as Rishi Kapoor's music voice in 'Bobby' and after the strong musical success of 'Bobby' in 1973. Thus it would be unusual to use any other playback singer than Shaliendra Singh but instead, Pancham went with his gut and gave us the best possible version of the song 'O Hansani.'
3. ) The third experiment that we want to talk about is about the song 'Falling In Love' in the movie 'Deewaar'. The song 'Falling in Love' is an English song and supposedly first of its kind in Bollywood.
4.) RD made and used 4 versions of the song 'Tum Bin Jaon Kahan' in the movie 'Pyaar Ka Mausam'. Two Versions in the voice of Kishore Kumar and 'Two Versions' in the voice of Mohammed Rafi.
5.) In the song 'Mera Naam Hai Shabnam' in the movie 'Kati Patang'. RD Burman was able to make a song out of normal sentences by producing music around it.

I am falling in love with a stranger has become a rage of late with its unbelievable music way back in 1973. There are many legendary stalwarts in Bollywood music, but if we take into account versatility in almost all genre of music from Indian classical,folk to Latino , jazz et al and combined with outstanding chords, arrangements, completely innovative rhythm patterns and unique use of all kinds of instruments from string, bass, brass , hundreds of unheard percussions but without compromising with melody at any time, R.D. Burman simply stands out . The staying power of his music is phenomenal and even today the FM , remixes of his songs, use of his music and songs both in National and International Advertisement ( recent I phone X and Heineken) , huge number of functions held all over the world on his birthday and demise day, books and award winning documentaries on him prove that he is today even more popular and researched than when he was alive. Every musician, musicologists and composers openly admit about his trendsetting influences which is growing by the day. By the way , the lyrics of , I am falling in love with a stranger has been penned by RD himself, possibly the only song he ever wrote lyrics. The Hindi version was done much later in a huge romantic song in Ameer Aadmi Gareeb Aadmi rendered by Asha Bhosle, Har ek rasta.

If I am not wrong ,In duration from 04:25 to 04:31 we can listen a little piece of music that slightly resembles The title.music of hindi serial THE SWORD OF TUPU SULTAN. after thay piece music continues to tune of title song of Betaab, maybe it is due to title music is in different scale other than scale of Title Song..
