Great video on binding. Thanks for the pin tip when joining. I have had to remove my stitches many times due to sewing backwards. Also love the whole quilt tutorial. I plan on making one with material I did not want to cut up. Thanks for all your tips.

Thank you for your excellent visual on how to connect the binding at the end. I was ever so close to losing my marbles, then I watched your video. Marbles saved. Thank you.

I have to watch this tutorial EVERY time I join binding, because try as I may, I can never remember which way to match the ends up without it.

I love Susie’s quilts, the videos, tutorials, and you are so cute..but when I follow your binding tutorial to join ends it gets twisted every time. Joining the ends of binding with Bonnie Browning is so much easier! Everyone learns differently..maybe I’m dyslexic! 😉

OMG - me, too! For the life of me, I can't the ends to join without them twisting and I feel so (SO) frustrated. You do a sort of ta-da at the end where it all just pulls miraculously into a straight line. I've tried this four times now, and it's twisted every *blessed* time. I have repeated the mantra about the left and right, to no avail. Perhaps a fabric with a much more obvious right and wrong sides would help the "slow of mind folks" like myself. I really wish I could get this technique because the result looks really lovely, but I think I have to give up now since I am giving this quilt away at a baby shower tomorrow. :0(

Did it today and it turned out perfect! Wish you would have shown a bit more on the corner hand stitching. Do we go all the way up the to the point? Or just stitch a couple stitches and then continue along the length of the quilt?

Didn't work for me ☹ unfortunately! It looks simple enough: I lined up my two ends exactly at shown, rights sides together, perpendicularly, sewed diagonally from point to point. I wonder if some piece is left out regarding twisting or turning one of the sides? I was curious about it, but the video didn't address it so I just went ahead with the verbal instructions. I didn't twist either side and my binding is a tangled mess right now. Hm. I placed my strips in exactly the same direction as shown. It's a mystery.

I love Suzy Quilts but for beginners I feel as if lots of small details are left out of this tutorial, including the part that you realized isn't addressed. Sometimes you just have to find that one that works for you. See if this one helps: kzread.info/dash/bejne/gmWn1MiuktqnebQ.html

😧Like others SQ's is a go to for me however I think this is the weakest video of all re joining the final ends ...- fabric with a distinct right and wrong side would be much easier to follow ... using this strong fabric pattern makes all a jumble...a simple phrase from elsewhere - remember right sides together...hard to follow which piece pivots etc...hard to let go of Suzy but this time I had to go elsewhere..and bingo!

This video (and all others of yours I’ve seen) are so great. I always get to the end and want more. I wish the bit on hand sewing the binding down was in little more detail, but joining the ends was some great information.
