Sewing Curves Tutorial

This quilting tutorial will show how simple sewing curves can be. No pins, basting or special tools needed! This video was originally recorded for the Propeller quilt pattern. Since then, the pattern has been expanded and improved and is renamed Modern Fans. Get the Modern Fans quilt pattern here - suzyquilts.com/product-catego...

I always make a crease at the halfway on both pieces of material and this helps me not to end up stretching either of the pieces

Another great tutorial, your tutorial about sewing triangles is simply the best, for me it was the only one that made sense, so thank you ♥️

I just happened across your blog post where you described your voice as a soothing yoga teacher. Had to come back and watch this again and yes you do sound like a soothing yoga teacher. My hb thinks I’m nuts laughing at a quilting tutorial.

I've found that using a quarter inch foot, with my Juki, having lowered the presser foot to the tightest and having the "smile" down, I am able to sew much more effectively without pins. I do crease the middle to make sure i'm on target. When I tried putting the larger "smile" piece up, it was totally distorted.

why did you start the outer ring 3/4" from the edge? Is it because of the pattern, not because of the curve-sewing process? So, if I was doing a bullseye, would I sew that outer ring all the way to the end of the piece?
