I tried the decorative stitch method on two quilts recently and loved it! The stiffness gave another texture to tge quilt.

Perfect timing! I just finished a quilt and sewed up extra blocks for a pillow and was wondering how to finish the pillow.... it looks lovely with the binding framing the pillow. Just one question. Thanks for your kind feedback and the nice words! Indeed I used some leftover yardage as a kind of backing in the quiltsandwich on the front of the pillow.
