Girl here ✌🏼just saying... guys cussing is one of my BIGGEST turn-offs. It’s so rare to find even Christians who take not cussing and watching their language in general, seriously. Thank you for saying something!

That is so true, I don't like the cussing either and slang, I thought christians didn't cuss, and when I started meeting some I was surprise but I know now. Everyone is still learning & growing. I pray to God for my future husband not to speak that way, that's not acceptable at all.

Swearing is a social construct. The Bible doesn’t say anything about it. Depends where and how you grow up. I personally don’t swear, and I would date someon who does swear as long as I know why they do.

@@luikssmart7751 Here are a few. There are plenty more. Ephesians 4:29 Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them. Psalm 19:14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer. Colossians 3:8-10 But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.

I cuss in a daily bassis, but there is a reson for it. I do it when I do somting extremely stupid or clumsy, reson for that atitude, is cuz I douth myself for my overal skill as a human being to function normaly in a home or society, and when I cuss it's like a calm sensation for me to let out my confusion of my own existens. questions like these: "why am I doing this?" "what was that now!?" "It slipt out my hand! I hade good grip, HOW!? "what is the meaning of this?" "am I not good enoth to function normaly?"

Body hair is a natural part of God's creation, even on females. While everyone is allowed to have their own preferences, it's nothing to be ashamed of. God make us perfect and in His image, and that includes body hair.

It’s like saying no cutting your nails is natural and it’s gods creation. Most guys and I agree with this, wants a well groomed woman just like most women want a well groomed man

  • @DannyD-lr5yg

    @DannyD-lr5yg

@@davidvalle3068 Not really, it’s not. Body hair is very self-limiting. Nobody’s ever walking around with 3 ft long leg hairs, thinking about how they need to stop by SuperCuts that weekend. Nails, on the other hand, will literally grow and grow and grow until they break or you die, if you let them. So the issue people have is more about the double standard. Men & women could each allow their body hair to grow, and both could make it look equally as neat and tidy. But societally, we’re not used to seeing it on women - even though that’s a very arbitrary opinion. (I know, I know: you’re thinking “nuh uh, it’s just common sense! Women just _look_ better smooth!” In reality, societally ingrained opinions just feel like common sense.) To borrow your nail analogy, though, it’s more like saying: “Men and women should both keep their nails reasonably trimmed. But while men can do sensible straight lines, women must clip elaborate little wavy edges.”

I think there's a difference between mere looks, and being attractive/finding someone attractive. We all know people who are very physically good looking on the outside, but maybe have an awful personality or we don't find engaging. And then there are those people who just have such a wonderful personality and we feel drawn to them, and love spending time..and their looks become more secondary 💕🙃

As a man who has experienced porn addiction I would give a much different answer as to why men watch porn. It's generally just like most addictive behaviors. It's a coping mechanism for some kind of chronic emotional pain or trauma. One of the biggest helps to me was to detach the shame from it, dig into the root cause and address that rather than the behavior, which is really more of a symptom than anything.

Sometimes I see a message and I will think to myself, “Okay, I’ll respond to that later after this”, then I forget and feel bad when it’s the next day. I think my best friend and I are an exception to the "one has to be attracted to the other" idea. He's been my bestfriend for almost four years, and we both have been so brutally honest with each other. He's actually really is into this other girl we both know, and has for most of our friendship. I couldn't ever see myself dating or marrying him; just thinking about that made me laugh hahaha. He's my life long bestfriend, and if that's gonna bother my significant other... I'm sorry, but he isn't going anywhere. I'm willing to talk to my significant other about me having a bestfriend that is a guy and maybe set some boundaries, but I'm never going to just cut him off like that. He's my bestfriend for a *reason*.

I agree with Nate on all of these, but want to elaborate on the ghosting. It is crappy to do. I’d only ghost someone who is bothering me or overloading my phone with text messages. Another thing in regards to texting, don’t rely on text messages to build a relationship. I don’t know about all guys, but many of the guys I know (myself included) don’t like texting and would much rather talk to women in person. Text to make plans, and do the actual talking when you’re with us.

Agreed! I love Nate & Sutton, but it was a tad bit uncomfortable to hear them use this word instead of using terminology such as “modest”. To me, it was almost like he was implying that, we girls, MUST all dress conservatively in order to attract those certain type of guys. When in reality, it’s much more than what we wear. Don’t get me wrong, it def a factor, but not the “end-all-be-all”. To me, personally, it’s all about intentions. For instance, if I was to wear an “off-the-shoulder” top it would be considered inappropriate and not modest to some older folk, when in reality my intention was just to wear it because I thought it was cute and I was comfortable in it. Not necessarily to attract “slutty guys” OR make myself the center of attention. No hate to Nate & Sutton AT ALL, just wanted to point this out and hope they are a bit more sensitive to the words they use to convey their message(s).

Interesting. Part 2? About guys hesitating to commit to relashionships, I'm not a guy so I'm rlly not an expert, but I think another reason they are hesitant to commit is the fact that once they get married they r the sole provider and support for their future family. That is a huge responsibility to take on. I admire men who do. It takes a lot to be responsible for the welfare of those he loves. I would never want that responsiblity and guys r amazing to take on that challenge. This is just one reason. I'm sure there r many others

I think having to train your mind to look away from someone attractive is pointless and almost "toxic." People are attractive. There's nothing wrong with looking at someone attractive, the difference is if you want to take it further with that person, or if you do it while with your S/O. I've been with my girlfriend for several years. If my girlfriend were to see an attractive guy in her day to day, that's fine, it's part of life. If she talks to him is a different story. If she stares him down is also different. But if she just looks at him and then keep it moving, nothing wrong with that. You shouldn't have to train yourself to look away, just don't have lustful thoughts or engage with the person.

I don't necessarily ghost, but I give space. Sometimes it's interpreted as ghosting. Not to play games, but because I think being too obsessive can be unhealthy in a relationship. So I like that talk on the phone and try to not worry about feeling like I need to text right away.

My crush is the seminarian currently at my church. He knows I like him because I’ve told him, and for the most part, I’ve stepped back and just let things happen slowly, but also, I want to hang out with him before he leaves for vicarage in the fall. I do have his number, but I don’t know what to say and I prefer talking to him in person. People around me who I’ve told what he’s done say that he likes me but he’s nervous. I don’t think he does, though there are SOME things he does where I’m like, “Maybe…? 🤷🏼‍♀️” I have a hard time initiating conversation (I usually wait for him & I think he’s picked up on that), but I was the one who asked if he’d want to exchange numbers

I'm only an outsider (so only take it with a grain), but if you've already made it known to him that you like him, then it's really up to him if he wants to pursue you, you can't make him. I personally am unsure about him being nervous characterises into this because he doesn't need to boost the confidence to say that he likes you or think of how you'll react if he asks you on a date, there are definitely other factors. This guy could also be praying, if he does like you (in pursuing you) or potentially, not like you in that way. (praying to be lovingly honest about it). The best thing is to (keep on, if you have) pray about it because the Lord knows what's best and for patience, which can be hard for us to have in situations where we are unsure of the outcome.

Just a word of advice (if you tend to do this): Don't hold on to any fanatasies or expectations in your mind.Like, imagining if you end up going out, dating him etc. It will just leave you disappointed because that's making an ideal of him that doesn't exist. He's a brother in Christ first, after all. Fantasies can make him into an object, which isn't loving to think about.

To give y’all another persons insight these are just my opinions from what I’ve seen and about myself and if y’all have other questions y’all can reply and ask them and I’ll try and answer - Why do men ghost? They don’t have the back bone to cut it off - size of body parts? Depends on the dude honestly. Most don’t care - fear of commitment? Nate hit the nail on the head. “What if” bugs us - what girls wear? It matters, you can be fully clothed and still be gorgeous - we think about seggs a lot ngl - girls starting convos? Initiate the first interaction. After that let him pursue you. - guy best friends? For me no. Period. We can have couple friends but not individual friends - natural beauty or make up? Nate said it pretty well, we like natural beauty with a little make up. - looks matter but they’re not everything, I want to be attracted to my wife but I’m not looking for a Victoria secret model. Most guys like ig you could say “simple pretty” - I don’t mind hearing girls talk just don’t fuss, for lack of a better word. I’m sure most girls know but guys cannot multitask at all so make sure you have his full attention or it likely won’t register - initiating seggy time? Just ask. It’s literally that simple. No tricks, no magic formula, just ask - I try not to compare current girls to my ex honestly. If I’m dating someone new I want to focus on them and leave the past in the past - Why do some guys watch P? It honestly gets to the point where it’s an addiction you can look it up there’s science behind it they know it’s wrong but they continue to do it - hard working or feminine? Prefer feminine and delicate but i’m not gonna turn down a great girl just because she’s not 100% feminine. Hardworking is always good - Think about other women? I don’t. But I know that some guys do some guys dont. Honestly a majority of guys will never admit to it but once they find that one girl they’re down for they tend to stay pretty locked in on her from what I’ve seen. I know because of stereotypes that’s hard to believe but most good guys and once they found the one they love they stay locked down

The first question I believe was about the guy ghosting us. Well I had met someone that literally had almost every potential I was looking for in a guy. Even on our few dates he seemed so interested but after a couple of days of texting he never replied. I felt pretty sad and disappointed for like 2 weeks almost 3 (I even cried a lil) lol I wondered if it was something I did or said or simply him just not being interested enough. I then began to think well if he wanted to he would. He has his phone he can text me if he wanted to but he didn’t. I guess now I’ve accepted it and just trying to move on, I like to be pursued and not pursue a guy. Anyways that resonated and answered my own question! Thank you guys 🥰🥰

If a guy doesn't respond or provide closure while dating (girls too) then they're not ready for the direct communication needed in a real relationship. If your old enough and still struggling in dating I highly recommend eharmony, especially if your one who doesn't like to pursue. It'll match you up with people you'll like and they'll mostly be as serious about their faith as you.
