'Oh why you so sad? What have they done?' When Josh sings that.... Just totally sublime.

QotSA acoustic = harmonies audible. Gorgeous. Josh can sing. Doesn't need loud rock festivals, though he owns those too. When he wears a suit, he's very serious and professional / respectful. Like his Cash cover, or backing Iggy for 2 best Bowie albums tour. No ego despite endless talent.

He definitely can sing for sure, though I'm not entirely keen of the last album, one has to admit his voice is on top form

@@quallumtheancient fair point because of his bad night where he drunkenly kicked the camera girl and diss'ed the closing band (though he's right they shouldnt close any show, much less QotSA). That alone. That said.... he partnered with Iggy Pop, he was literally David Bowie for an album and that tour and it was all 100% billed as Iggy Pop (show, tour). No mention on anything of Josh much less QotSA. *EVERY* guitar player has mad ego and some are deranged assholes for it, but interviews with Josh are always him being gracious and respectful in tone. He probably also wants to kick Oasis'es asses with Mark but doesn't say it at least.

@@pachangamarrana1 there was no excuse for that night. He kicked a camera that was in front of her face. TOTALLY unacceptable. Yes. He apologized immediately. When people kept *RIGHTLY* calling him out, he apologized the next day again, candidly, no script, and broke down as he did. He paid her an appropriate settlement she accepted and everyone moved on. My friend who turned me on to Kyuss ran into him in a mall and said he was the nicest, kind person you could hope to meet. 2 encounters, very different. Has Josh redeemed himself to her? To you? Can he? I don't know. It was shitty that he kicked the camera by his foot in a drunken stupor that hit her in the face (of course). But he also spoke out against Trump's racism very early and loudly and without PR filter. He founded a charity for families of music industry workers who are hurting. His life is more than 1 bad moment in an all around rough, drunk night while writing a song about keeping his family together with an imminent divorce. Respectfully.

Great show, great band. The BSB was pretty much the only concert I'd see almost every year they held it, think I missed '86 and '93. The Bridge School folks are the best and the bands they got were top tier. This show was amazing. For those wondering "why acoustic?" - that's the rule, gotta be "acoustic" - some stretched that a wee bit, but it made what happened there original. What's great is seeing 1st time players do really well there, you could really tell who had talent, and QOTSA totally had that.

He wrote Burn The Witch and this song about having to kick Nick out after his bad meltdowns. He reunited with him on stage in Portland for the 1st time since that album. Magnificent song, and this version is rich and subtle. Thanks for saying as much, bud

Magical. SUCH goodness here; set, fundraiser, whole thing. Bowie did B.S. acoustic a few years back and its among his best work Ive ever seen. Josh loved Bowie. Thank you for this.

I was thinking how quietly fucking amazing John Theodore's drumming adds to pretty much everything QUOTSA does, he's so versatile and has this innate understanding of exactly how add what's good and not add anything that isn't... yeah it really does.

I think this is the best live set of QUOTSA I've seen. Idk for sure, truth be told I've watched pretty much every live QOTSA set KZread throws at me (procrastination is underrated) but this really stands out.
