I worked at the London Palladium for a few years, and the Queen and family were regulars, and twice a year for the Royal Performances. I think she was probably “the BEST Royal” to ever exist. As a monarch from the tail end of the Horsedrawn society, to the nucleus age, remaining regal and relevant was all but impossible, and she did it and more importantly stayed unstained throughout.. I don’t think people really understand how the world changed under her reign. And she always seemed relevant.

The Queen did a brilliant job but she was a naturally shy woman and, for her, being the centre of attention was never really her comfort zone so it’s a big stretch to say she ‘loved her job’ (ironically both her mother and sister adored being feted yet they both had to play second fiddle to the one who wanted it least). As for Charles, I think he’s a magnificent successor and is a profoundly thoughtful and conscientious man. This is fortunate for the country because the idea of Andrew being the first born doesn’t bear thinking about (which is why, in spite of us lucking out with Elizabeth and Charles, hereditary monarchy really belongs to a bygone age)

How I loved and admired Her late Majesty.

@@scented-leafpelargonium3366 Agreed, I am assuming she found the Tories of the last 12 years of Her Reign irksome but it isn't a wild guess because I'm drawing my conclusion from the privations caused by Austerity, the societal divisions erupting by way of the Referendum debate and finally the misleading of Her Majesty in 2019 by Johnson, through Jacob Rees-mogg, wrongfully advising the Queen to Prorogued Parliament; the case brought by Gina Miller against that action by the Prime Minister confirmed the Prorogation in 2019 was illegal. So, although Her Majesty did remain entirely silent as to Her feelings and advice to Her Prime Ministers, I can't say she was pleased to have harm inflicted upon Her people for the sake of Party political expedient. Sadly there are a lot of unkind and dumb people in the world.

I never heard her utter too many words at a time. No idea of the woman’s intelligence, I know she had experience but the last chapter of her life was full of dumb decisions and being intimidated by Walrus Markle.

More than 60 million British citizens, many of them living in poverty, are instructed to celebrate rather than to loathe this tableau of excess. They are told to be happy that someone has a dream life, even if it is not them, and to live vicariously through this soap opera cast of royals, rather than demanding a good life for everyone else.

I think they just didn’t like the idea OF her. And snippets I’ve read from people who worked with her sound very childish to me. One person complained that she had got an email at 5 am to do something. Meghan being a very early riser probably sent the email when she thought about it. I highly doubt she meant for her staff to hop to it at 5am but whenever she had got in the office. I 😊used to do the exact same thing-shoot off an email when I thought of it of pcourse not expecting anyone to do anything at the godawful time I sent it. I thought that staff member was just being rude to say that.😊

1 or 2 employee maybe.....but multiple people -- many with years of experiences! Also, she can't keep her staff in California too - both seniors and low position staff. Stop blaming the staff - especially those who can't defend themselves.

I’m only blaming the top echelons not anyone lower Z. I’ve read many articles about how this HH staff works against that HH staff in British papers and magazines. I’m not making this up. Could they be wrong? Certainly!

It's got nothing to do with the Courtiers. Meghan can follow rules. She's an awful woman, who has a history of being obnoxious, rude and thinking She's above everyone. She didn't like being told NO! Bucking Palace is run like a well oiled machine. Megaliar couldn't or wouldn't understand the inner workings. She thought she could walk in an modernise centuries of duration and rules.😡

They are still having staff quit their jobs at Montecito, it's like a revolving door. Also, reports of her being nasty have come from others outside the royal family. Along with everything else, I think it's safe to assume it wasn't the fault of the Palace.

I thought the same back in 2019 BUT after Megxit I saw H&M displaying bad behavior time after time, I finally pick up that the common denominator was them. My conclusion, H&M are the bad ones, selfish, entitled, lazy, awful people. When they publicly apologize, then I’ll rethink my assessment.

Working in the royal household for 12 years and having nothing to say how sad. Boring.
