Thank you kindly
Your cabin is coming along nicely. We enjoy seeing your new episodes pop up in our notifications. When you had your fingers behind that board & were nailing it, we both were saying, “Don’t get your fingers!” Great episode. Stay safe & we’ll catch you on the next one! God bless.

Gotta love board and batten. Classic look on a cabin! Your siding looks great. We just finished up the siding on our cabin this summer. -Robert

Boat trailer would have come in handy, narrow and easy to maneuver through the trees. Great work!

Nice job! I didn’t think I would like the boards vertically, but I have to admit that it looks great. I am going to have to re-evaluate how I’ll do the siding on my cabin. Great job.

Looking great my friend. Thanks for sharing. I have the same saw and love it. I noticed the same issue with the notch not showing the actual cut line. Thanks for the advice on how to make the proper mark.
Very impressive work and I hope this cabin is safe in these woods 😎 awesome place and thumbs up dear 😎👍❤️

Hi good video. Was wondering how the Poplar wood is holding up ? Im thinking of sawing some siding to put on my house . Just wondering how you treat it? Thx.
Hey John, that tall wall, gable end with three windows must have been a piece of cake, haha, not! Most guys don't know how tired you get being on a ladder all day. Deer season, git er dun! 👍

Looks great John ! Gonna have a nice lookin little cabin ! Hey dies the bell affect anything on your end ? Because I don't have the bell icon on for any my channels I subscribe to just so I don't get any more action on my phone than I already have. Lol and because I watch your stuff its always at the top of my feed whenever u post a video. Just wasn't sure if affected monetization for you. Thanks

John.....I just milled some poplar live edge siding. Can i nail it up green and only single nail it, then once it dries out a bit add another row of nails? You seem to have more milling experience than I do.

Awesome project, do you know what a good price is for those paslode guns is? I’m thinking about buying one after watching this. Not Messing with a hose and compressor is nice.

Its currently 389.00 on Amazon. I really like mine.
Great job as always! If you mill that downed poplar, how long before you can use it? (Dry down, etc...)
@johnkidd2067

Poplar dries pretty quick. Longer the better. But a whole lot of Poplar has been put up freshly milled. The batten boards allow for a lot of shrinkage.

"Nail it!"
Are you going to let the poplar turn grey at its own rate, or speed up the process by spraying it with rusty vinegar?

Ill let nature take its course. Thanks for watching!
I have the saw and it is crooked but what I wanted to know about was the pass load, I could hear air but saw no hose....what the heck? I’ve never seen one like that, hows it work? I’m hoping that isn’t a stupid question, cabin is looking mighty nice! It must also be nice to have wood just falling around, a lot of work to make to make it useable though, but how cool is that?

That kind of nail gun uses CO2 cartridges instead of an air compressor.

I actually reviewed it as well but we decided to keep it out because the vid was getting long. Lol. It runs off a butane cartridge mixes with air in a chamber then spark plug fires a piston just like an internal combustion engine. Or a potato cannon. Very light and reliable. People complain about the butane smell and the extra cost. But I appreciate its light weight. Ill do a more in depth review on the next video. Thanks for watching!
