That's highly unlikely to happen - in any programme where there's a new host. It would undermine their position, as it immediately invokes the _"I miss XYZ person hosting this..."_ feeling.

Personally she's been my favourite guest and the ultimately perfect replacement for Stephen. Shows can fail with a change of host but QI goes from strength to strength.

In QI's case, I suspect it lives or dies on the hosts relationship with Alan, that great underrated hero.(bear in mind he's best mates with Bill and Phil, and has a delightfully disarming humour that puts most people at ease). Fry (cambridge!) Was like Alan's disapproving school master who secretly adored him, while Sandi just finds his humour startlingly funny. His Julie Andrews impression particularly.😂

I was watching last night's show and thinking about the number and quality of female panellists that appear since Sandi took the helm. I nearly broke a rib cackling along to the show. Also, the way she calls people "darling" sounds sincere as well as posh. What a legend!

Sandi is brilliant of course both as a guest and as host but I have to say Jack Dee’s comment right at the end there was an absolute killer!

Sandi is absolute gold. Couldn't have been more happy to see her move into the QI chair. (I missed her on News Quiz for a bit, though Miles is doing a stellar job there now as well.) Anyway, she's gold.

Sandi always presents so intelligent and put together, and it's such a delight to see her completely lose her mind over bananas.

I want to watch this show in its entirety so badly but I’m in the US and they frown upon learning here. 😭

That "I feel unwell" was really an open goal for someone to ask "how many bananas have you eaten?"

What I love is when Stephen and Sandi are back and forthing about the micro-mort and the bananas, Alan is like the child in between them both caught in the middle of an intellectual battle and he just finds it funny

I found that last clip as funny but surely, it belongs more in Jack Dee's best moments compilation than Sandi's? It's not her joke, and she's barely even in the build up of that joke.

The only complaint I have for her presenting QI is that she's no longer a guest. One of, if not the best participant ever on QI.

sweiland75 Nope, most women on panel shows speak less, especially if they're the only woman in the episode. If you think otherwise, that's a case of confirmation bias based on prejudice and stereotyping. Even if it was true in that moment, it wasn't a best of Sandi moment, it wasn't her joke and every clip that came before it was considerably funnier.

I would love to go to the pub with Sandi. She's so lovely and really funny x

Sandi loosing her mind with the bananas that kill you is my favorite moment of QI. It’s so funny and sweet

Sandy is a global treasure. We will not have a better comedian for at least a generation.

They cut out the best bit of the goose-toilet paper exchange, which features the words "torche-culs, arse-wisps, tail-napkins, bum-fodders, bunghole-cleansers and wipe-breeches" as euphemisms for toilet paper. That bit that was cut out also used the word "betwixt", which is just inherently funny.

You can see why she got the top job.

He'd be terrible. The show is so much nicer with Sandi and no less funny, without the sense that anyone with the temerity to argue with Fry would get huffed and puffed into oblivion (or the sense that Sandi is about to say something sweeping and offensive, which Fry sadly did). He both values intelligence and becomes annoyed by it when expressed too much, or expressed counter to his views. If he was a contestant he'd ironically probably act like Rory McGrath.
