Make sure to never leave any gaps in the tape. Gaps will allow water and dirt to get in and under the tape that will (over time) compromise the install. I would also use the same tape all the way around due to differences in tape thickness. Enjoy your Alfa like I enjoy mine. There are dozens of CF mods you can do, inside and out.

thanks, I am currently searching for a new spoiler to replace this one. It still looks great but I am thinking of going a little larger :)

The technique used to install these is to use two strips of 3M. One where you placed the first one and the second should go along the entire edge that sits on the trunk. You free about an inch of tape on each end an that should dangle out from under the spoiler. Then you position the spoiler correctly and begin to slowly remove the backing from the tape followed by pressing down as you go. I’ve had mine on for over a year with no problems. Nothing leaks under the tape if you use one continuous piece on the trunk.

This is an incredible tip and I wish I knew this before I did the install. The install I did is still securely mounted but this would have made placement super easy. Thanks for this tip!

get carbon fiber diffuser from ahacarbon I think its around the 360 mark

Hmm, I am looking at that but we already have a diffuser. Just not carbon. But this site is nice. Looking at a few other things tbh.

Can you go through car washes? Is the tape holding?

The 3m is still holding strong. I have never taken the car through a car wash, always washed by hand. However, 0 issues and the tape is holding as strong as the day I put it on. I check it each wash (bi-weekly) out of curiosity lol Thanks for watching and commenting. This car is 100% a keeper as well.

You know what I would do. I would buy the carbon fiber and use plasti-dip. Do like 5 coats, put a few gloss coats at the end and it would look really sharp. Or if you like the matte look, skip the gloss plasti-dip at the end. Personally, I love the matte look.

@@ffblegend no sweat. I did my tow hooks on my truck and they look just as good as the day I painted them. That stuff holds up.

it looks there is a big gap between the trunk and the spoiler. you should buy better quality....

I am not sure I follow. This is the spoiler that came out of the box and it still fits. Sorry, maybe I am confused.

@@yesla4tesla he’s referring to that this is not a genuine Quadrifoglio spoiler or even a mock-up of it. The OEM style spoiler sits on top of the boot. Yours is an extended spoiler of some kind.

It is still holding up. The main thing was just in case she did not like it, we could easily remove.

Sorry, this was a tough video to record. It was basically clean the fin and trunk, then just put the tape on and press.

It looked better without spoiler, this very big one for that car looks very rough 🥲🥲🥲
