Putt BETTER after this Video | Disc Golf Basics
Спорт
I putted (?) 100 times to see how many I´d get in the basket. Then I had Tomas Ekström teach me, a beginner, how to properly putt. Then I tried 100 putts once more to see if there was a difference. Hope you´ll enjoy and putt better after watching ❤ /Jonathan

Don't forget the safe word when you're out on the course!
Am Tip: The different putters are gonna have mostly the same flights within 30 feet, so pick your favorite putter based on how it feels in your hand. Also once you pick, try to only practice only with that mold, it will help your consistency. Love these videos by the way, keep up the great work

This has helped out a ton! It’s super easy to understand, especially the “push the disc” part, that was a better explanation rather than throwing or tossing it. I use the Luna disc and I’m hitting 90% of my 35ft putts. Thank you!
"Oh, I have problems." :D
Dave feldberg is a great teacher of mechanics btw
Thanks so much! This video is so underrated, it’s one of the most key topics that needs a lot of focus for beginners and pros.
I absolutely love this guy! Keep up these videos. I have been watching them all and absolutely enjoy the commentary and skills being taught.
I just started disc golf and I’m finding that some discs just work better for different people. I think that not getting caught up in what’s recommended and instead throwing what feels good will help beginners like us get better.
The comedic timing in this is just great. Informative and entertaining!
Dagger!! Because I have struggled with leaving it just short hitting the rim, and now I can keep my style but that extra glide just floats it in! Love it =)
Yesterday was my first time ever playing disc golf, me and the dude I played with are now making it a weekly thing so thanks for the advice, he is also teaching me as well, I finished yesterday +6 on 18 holes 💪
Wow! Just the part explaining your grip & where you should point your body helped me instantly! Thank you 😊
The Luna is my favorite not only for putting but it also flies super straight for drives and midrange shots
Last friday morning i watched the latest Lat64 video with Tomas, then went playing on one of our local courses.. guess who was playing? Tomas :D.

I have been watching you for over a year. And I keep coming back to the older videos to remind myself of the basics. Or when my putting is just terrible as of late. Still got me laughing. Cheers
Helped a lot. My struggles has been putting. In golf and disc golf
Yesss! Putting is exactly what I needed THANK YOU!!
Gotta love that immediate improvement with form
Love these videos. My putter is the classic marshal. Also started using the marshal for my upshots as well as putting
One of the best putting videos I've ever watched.
These videos have been so helpful. Best tutorial videos out here… and I’ve been looking. Ha! Great work guys
(Shows Tomas his putts) Tomas: (SIGH) Alright...
I've used a judge as my putter for while and love it
I'm not sure if it's easier for some people to spin putt vs. push putt, but for the life of me, I could not get any form of spin putting to be accurate while I was learning. Push putting is certainly more tricky to learn the body timing for, and takes more energy (especially for me being 5'6" on a good day,) but if a beginner struggles a lot with Spin putting accuracy and this video doesn't help, I would recommend checking out a different video that focuses on the Push putt, or even the Straddle putt.
Love watching this guy's videos. I'm new to Disc Golf and he's helped me a lot!!! Keep up the great work!!!

These tips will help anyone who's struggling with putting! Mercy is my top choice. Keeping different plastics in more or less stable shape in the Bag.
Fairly new to D.G. so have enjoyed watching Thomas's training you. He is a great teacher and you are a great student. Now to transform my skill. 🤭
Thank you for your tips on putting. I prefer the mercy cause it putts and throws very well.

my favourite putter is Pure zero soft, the grip and control of the disc is perfect and it makes the realase solid and correct in my opinion.
I'm mostly using a Luna for putting and I love it. It has so much grip that it never bounces away and also stays in when it finds the chains. I also feel comfortable using it in rain because of the grippy plastic. One thing I like to imagine when putting is that the motion sort of is like sliding a pizza into the oven, that worked for my girlfriend.

Pa3 is what I use. Very stable with just the smallest amount of fade. I use a fan grip with a push putt.

Durple Haze I really like this guy too. Has helped me a lot. Would love to see more content.
Luna. This is after trying out the wizard, aviar (and classic aviar), warden and Luna. And been liking the Rhino for approach. Luna feels right but the wizard and warden also work great. I was at the store and the Luna felt so good in the hand. Softer plastic blend... it’s weird like if you mixed felt and plastic together (maybe like a casino table but much smoother) but it still was sturdy without much bend. I love the lack of bead it has, didn’t like the aviar classic at all. The warden, Luna and wizard all have similar shapes and are beadless. But this warden is a hard plastic. It definitely has more durability but the Luna has the grip. They both fly straight as an arrow.
Love using the Warden this season!
I'm liking these videos. Glad you've been able to get Tomas to help out so much. Also, I love the sense of humor. And yes, putting is a mind...game... ;-)

Berg is prbably my best putter atm. Though i really enjoy your River and Fuse. Amazing discs
Great video and real! Awesome teaching and simple👍🏼
I use classic blend judge most of my putting but I'll use med keystone for tailwind putts. Or if I'm not doing well with the judge I'll switch to the keystone.
I am a huge fan of a Classic Soft Judge for putting. And for up shots they don't skip or roll away much at all. I like to remind myself to shake hands with the basket. Really helps me to follow through and reach out. Thanks for sharing. Great to see your improvements. I'm sure it is helping a lot of us improve our disc game.

Super helpful! 4 out 4 right out of the gate!!
Banger-GT, jawbreaker plastic I LOVE THE THUMB GROVE
I use the Pure (soft) for narrow straight tunnel shots, the Harp(soft) if I want a more predictable shot if I have more space and putts outside circle one. Jawbreaker APX for the shorter putts.
I am pretty new to disk golf also. I find when it comes to putting, I just don't over think it and toss it at the basket. Seems to work pretty well. Everything else, I just try to keep it out of the woods. I did watch your videos on throwing straight and that helped tons! Distance is what I have the most trouble with now.

extending and pointing was such a eureka moment. became easier to aim, to get more umpf (distance)... to be consistent. I am enjoying these videos. the humor and all that too :D i love axiom's envy. i like how they feel in the hand. the flat top. they feel broken-in from the get-go as far as grip.. good texture. maybe it's the rim being a heavier, harder plastic that helps with that feel too.. and helps with getting more spin on the disc for further-out putts that need more glide. used to use an aviar3s in dx, i still love those for the simple, old school quality of 'em : ) but they can be a lil slippy before they get beaten in
I picked up a wizard. It is super stable and strait. I like it a lot.

I use a Pure gold for putting (Acually got 3of them) simply becous it was the first "real" disc that I bought and started lerning how to put and throw with.
I had a friend give me a great piece of mindset advice for putting a long time ago. The basket is your enemy. So 2 take-aways. (1) Throw hard enough to leave a bruise. You aren't trying to be nice to your enemy. (2) Don't be angry when your off-center putts spit out. That's to be expected. Your enemy isn't trying to be nice to you. This helped me a ton. I switched from soft-arming my putts at the basket to driving my disc into the chains, and I also stopped getting worked up over chain-outs. It also made putts feel like winning over an opponent instead of just surviving the environment.
My brother bought me a Lat64 Diamond and its my favorite disc. Plus you guys are putting out great content as well, thanks you for your work now excuse me while I shop for more!
