Putin’s terror tactics will be his downfall | Michael Clarke

European politicians and businesses have been funding Putin's terrorism around the Earth for decades, and it's only when he threatens them directly and citizens say something that they pretend they are concerned. Many EU and NATO countries continue to help Putin's genocide in the Uktaine, such as Greek shipping.

Other examples of ultimately failed terror weapons from the Great War which he could have mentioned would be railway guns and aerial bombing campaigns against the UK. The economic weapons that have now been brought to bear on Russia are less obvious on the battlefield than military drones, but in time will probably be considerably more important. The idea posited by Peter Zeihan and George Friedman that Putin started his war because he realized that it was a "now or never" moment certainly is analogous to the Japanese decision to attack the US and their allies while it still had oil to fuel its battle fleet and aircraft carriers.
@blengi

might as well evolve to make f35s a deployment platform and communication node for hundreds of disposable 10kg drones with each independently controlled by teams of computer infantry thousands of kilometres away trained in various swarm tactics. One plane could literally deliver a thousand drones onto an enemies frontline and target every combatant/target on 1 square kilometre real time, some flying onto the barrel of a tanks blocking them without need for explosives..

Also, there has never been a war so thoroughly scrutinised as it unfolds. Ukrainian investigators move in as soon as the Russians leave, within 24 to 48 hours, using drone footage as well as social media to build a complete picture of Russia’s war crimes. A global network of investigators is decoding and corroborating satellite imagery and audio intercepts in order to collate evidence for future prosecutions to hold the Kremlin accountable for its war crimes.

Still requires larger airframes because of the "Cube-Square Law." Larger airframes are more fuel efficient because they have less surface area per unit volume and more lift per unit surface area. Surface area gives you the resistance. This is physics we will never get around. If you want both fast and long ranged, then you need fairly large. Fast and long ranged will always be useful. Most likely there will be more of the stuff like the B-52 launching a few dozen missiles from 500 miles away and swarms of drones launched from trucks close to the front. There could even be hypersonic "motherships" that fly thousands of miles towards the enemy then launch dozens of smaller drones that then attack. Whatever happens larger platforms (aircraft, ships, subs, trucks, etc) will still be needed.

Thank you for your work!

Death Penalty for Putin and his cronies.
I'd never thought of that possibility. That Winston Churchill decided to do what was done to Dresden "just to make him feel better". Should've just poured himself another whiskey.
The Times Radio audio crackle still persists
MC is a god love his analysis and he should be Prime minister🇬🇧 Slava 🇺🇦

Came here for Professor Michael Clarke, not disappointed!
Michael Clark, so respectful and grateful for you insights. God bless and stay safe!
Without a doubt this guy has the best analysis of this war,
It’s a pleasure to listen to such intelligent commentary! Thank you for letting him talk!
Getting accurate news from the best. Professor Clarke is brilliant
First time I saw Michael Clarke on video I thought it was Michael Caine.

But the accent vis a vis Clarke/Caine is quite different. Caine tried (once only) to use an upper-class, educated voice and was so embarrassed by the result that he swore never to leave (linguistic) London again.

@@TommyTCGT Yes, after catching Ukraine completely flat footed, taking 30% of their territory then running out of gas and loosing 10% off the top. Spending the next several months grinding their army into oblivion for marginal gains then loosing another 5% to the first significant counter attack, and now continuing to loose ground at a slow but steady pace while taking out their frustrations by committing war crimes against helpless civilians.
Prof. Clarke is the best!
Yes exactly my sentiments: a civilian population exposed to terror air strikes will have a hardened determination to resist the invader or perpetrator.
The more you torture a person, the more their hate hardens them to resist it. SLAVA UKRAINI!

I am Canadian... send Ukraine a ton of small generators, solar panels... We have the obligation to support them.
Wonderfully lucid. Thank you.
Mr. Clarke will you please discuss the root cause of this war. Everyone seems to be avoiding to discuss the issue. To address the cause of the war, will stop the war. Putin will not stop until the cause of the war is addressed and the culprits brought to book. Clearly there is a cause to every incident. Thanks.

@ M. Abrahams - The U.S. stopped Ukraine from negotiating a peace. Russia was to withdrawal from all occupied Ukrainian territory (except Crimea) and Ukraine was to not seek NATO membership. The Biden Administration got involved and told Zelensky to drop negotiations in exchange for the U.S. will supporting the war. The new U.S. goal? Regime change with Putin's removal which the U.S. has stated publicly many, many times along with NATO membership for Ukraine which totally (and understandably) not acceptable to Russia. Pure foolishness on the part of the U.S. and is forcing the hand of nuclear armed Russia.

That would require endless speculation, and the ability to get into Pootin's head. And your last observation assumes there exists a solution that would satisfy Pootin, and not bring an end to Ukraine. From the things I've heard him say, Ukraine does not deserve to exist, and it belongs to Russia anyways. The only one "avoiding" the kind of discussion you propose is Pootin.
LORD pls help Ukraine, we ask for Divine help now as it's seem we are out of strength, we are being encamped by the enemies that have joined hands together to wipe out Ukraine out of the surface of the earth. LORD arise and have mercy on us. Scatter the enemies, let them destroy each other, Lord let their plans not be fruitful. Put fear in the camp of the enemies in Jesus name 🙏 let Ukraine prevail

The trouble is that every side in every war thinks they have God / Allah / Krishna / Yahweh on their side. Assuming these are just different names for the same god, at least half the countries fighting wars must be wrong. Either that, or God doesn't take sides in petty human disputes.

I wish I was so confident, it could be weeks or months? wow what stunning analysis. Obviously he won't be around forever, geez
We also need to highlight the retired RAF pilots who are training Chinese pilots in South Africa. They are traitors. All they are after is the money - no morals...
Excellent analysis by a superbly objective interviewee!
