    Your videos are consistently one of my favorites on gun KZread. Practical, informative. Just overall good and great Info. I switched stocking my FMJ rounds to good shit because of you and then researching ballistic gel testing videos on dozens of different rounds utilizing my gun and the barrel length. Yes I get less of it. But it will build overtime and I’m okay with that, I have patience.

    Finally someone gets the #1 argument for lights, WML or otherwise. It's dark approximately half of every 24 hours and unless you're one of the special sorts with NODs, you, me and nobody else can see in the dark. The rule says "be sure of your target and what's beyond it" and if it's dark, you can't see it.

    I've been harping that for years. I got shown the light so yo speak when I was 15 in the mall and the power went out and it was really dark even though it was midday outside. I was in a rough area and people were getting robbed in the dark. Haven't been without a light since that was 25 years ago

    I would say tritium sights are good once a gunfight has started in the dark against a back-lit target. Found that out during a simmunition training indoors. I would have had to use my light to see the sights which would have disclosed my location to the role player. One tip on using the light once the fight has started after you lost eachother. Flash an area to clear it and then immediately move to it so incoming fire will be directed at where you were instead of where you're at. Of course anyone watching you closely will be able to deal with that. But someone you're actively engaging and shooting at will have other things that warrant their attention. If you dont have a strobe feature you can hit the switch off and on quickly and if the light is bright it will be just as disorienting. I was on the receiving end of that one. Opponent did that with his Surefire X300 and managed to get to a different part of the room at the same time unnoticed by me. When i stated taking incoming fire i thought someone else had made it in there. That was a 14 year veteran of the Kansas Highway Patrol. A few years later he and anothet trooper showed up to a Domestic that spilled out into the yard. The guy had a large knife to his girlfriends daughters neck. He used that same light technique and ended up right next to the guy and shot him in the side of the head while grabbing his arm with the knife.

    From a tactical stand point, always carry a pocket light. Some combatants are taught to shoot at the light. A pocket light can also be used for deception of your position.

    Awesome video thank you really much. In germany we are not allowed to see what we're shooting at. So a handheld light is mandatory. Do you have a recommondartion that doesn't break the bank like an OWL? More like a Streamlight HL-X or something like that. Perferable a 18650 and compatible with the Tyhrm. Keep the great work up 👍

I can now have my Glock 45 MOS, holosun EPS with the radian ramjet with the TLR 7 HLX that is perfectly sized for it. I hope more holster companies will get on making retention holsters for this combo. This is my ideal duty setup.

    Didn’t feel the need for a WML with the weak compact lights available and I didn’t feel the need for a duty sized one. But the TLR7 HL-X release changed that. A useful compact light. Grabbed it and a Tenicor for my 45 But absolutely agree. A handheld is a must. I don’t feel underprepared if I don’t have a WML as an everyday citizen

  • @user-en1jr4ou4o

    @user-en1jr4ou4o

    Turbo, the high candela output will help the light get through the rain better vs high lumens . Also often after rain fog comes along the turbo is much more beneficial in that scenario as well.

I ask myself three questions. 1.Will is make me better? 2.Foes it improve the quality of my life? 3.Can it make me money? it has to hit 2 of the 3 of its a hard no. I do this and teach and full time LE so all the guns and gadgets will always hit 2 of the 3

I often go to planet fitness with just a tank top on and I’m always worried about the gun printing. I’m always worried officers are going to come into the gym and ask to search my locker. I've had mine a year back in May, and it's been the only light I've carried since. Major improvement over the HL-X I used to pocket carry. It's nice to know they'll take care of us if we have an issue though. Now if only they'd finally put out that pistol light we've been asking for for ages. While I have you, perhaps you can help me make a decision. I'm trying to decide between a PL350 and the X300 Turbo, but I've never messed with the Modlite products.
