I love my DBAL. The first time I used it I was blown away. You nailed it when you said game changer. As long as your adversary is not using NVGs, then you own the night. Especially with that paper weight.

I have a rifle set up similar except I run a short vertical grip and a surefiire 660. Love the setup you’ve got.

Just a suggestion- you could buy a 10 or 20 round (shorter) magazine, which would allow you to get much lower in the prone position- which would allow you to use a much shorter bipod for prone shooting. You could put the bipod on a cheap fobus quick detach mount, When I was in the mil, I would keep a extra MK12 Harris bipod on a fobus QD mount in my soft case with a 20 round mag. This came in handy at the range for zeroing- I wouldn't have to mess with sandbags and it was easy to take off after I was done zeroing. I even used it in afg. at night in ambush positions- the M4 got pretty heavy once I added the suppressor and mini thermal in addition to everything else that was already on it. Pretty much the same application for you, except you are ambushing coyotes.

When I went on my second deployment I used one of those vertical grips that had a bipod that would deploy from inside of it. Love that thing so much I bought another.

I had one of those on my first deployment. Definitely a nice addition. I did come to the realization that I fell in love with so many trinkets they became a burden though. I ended up carrying a fairly stripped down m4 for my other 2 deployments. ACOG and a small light were it and I eventually moved the light to my helmet. Nothing worse than a decked out rifle in cramped conditions snagging everything possible.

Dog the rifle, but as I’m in the furniture world I love the chair you sitting in. Very nice.

The LPVO is the way to go. Started using one years ago in place of a magnifier and Red Dot. Just handed my SIG 1-4 down to my son to put on his H&R Handi Rifle. He was hitting steel with it over the holiday at 200 and 300 yards. I upgraded to a 1-8.

Most people only use 1x and then the highest magnification in my experience, so imo a acog+dot or holosun+magnifier is best

@@PewLand One reason I moved away from Streamlight is the weakness of their battery latch, I have had two break on me requiring repair. So, nothing is perfect, LOL.

I forgot about my rc2 paperweight and gave myself a 3rd degree burn on my shoulder blade. I never use my paper weight unprotected without a weight condom since.

So kind of ol blippy to give this rifle away to one of his viewers.
