I grew up with a chocolate lab. Hershey was her name. Everyone who ever met her loved her, except our distant neighbors whose last name were the Simpsons. Hershey used to tackle people in the snow, and grab their pompom hats and play keep away. We always thought it ironic that they were named the "Simpsons" as the "Flanders" would have been far more appropriate and descriptive.

This is so cute. I think it’s great that he was so sleepy. He will have good vibes going to the vet and hopefully it it won’t change.

He’s so cute. At the pet daycare I work at, we have a grown chocolate lab named Milton. We call him the dad of the pack because he’s really laid back and gentle with everyone in the daycare, especially the puppies. Your puppy is adorable and I wish you the best in raising him.

My Lab fell asleep during his first vet visit too. It’s really adorable.

It's a bit obvious that this pup feels very safe and loved. I mean, I feel pretty safe and loved but not to where I sleep through medical exams! There's not a high enough number on the cuteness scale for this boy. Praying for many happy years together, the best is yet to come. ❤😊❤

I keep seeing memes about dogs who hate going to the vet. They must have had bad experiences there at some point for that to happen. My brother's dog LOVES going to the vet because the office is full of nice, gentle people who love him and treat him with kindness. That really makes a difference.

I remember taking my golden retriever to his first vet visit at 3 months old. He slept through most of it. The vet told me either puppies are pure energy on their first visit or sleep through it.
