Any idea where I could get a new oil slinger?

HI John. Thanks for the videos. They have really helped me out with my car. I noticed in this video that the oil slinger wasn't installed. Is that not needed with the new gaskets? Or is that only needed in standard transmission because of the clutch dust?

Are there any really noticeable power difference from the 4.6 and stroking it 2 + 5.0. I found one online manly MMR forged 4340 stroker crankshaft 3.800 and use the common rods of 5.850 and it was to use the standard bore of the 4.6 engine block of 3.552. To make 302 cubic inches . I didnt think so I put the numbers in a engine bore stroke calculator it came out to 301.24 did it with several calculator apps same answer every time, I just had a hard time matching up pistons for it. Looking on the modular engine Wikipedia it gave all the bore measurements and the stroke measurements, it just seemed with a stroke of 3.661, and a bore of 3.6 29 was a lot closer to 302 cubic inches. How do you be careful on the over bore. I've always been curious on the 5.0 strokers and running the Terminator top-end stuff for a little bit then go twin turbos.

I believe in more displacement, even if it is only from 281-302. The larger engines that I have built seem to make more power than the smaller ones. This engine used all Manley internals: 3.750 crank, 5.850 rods, and .030 over stoker pistons. I don't recall the exact displacement but it was around 302 ci. There are other ways to get 5.0L as well, including using Darton big-bore sleeves in the aluminum block.

@@JohnSmithRacing yeah , once I do this bulid I am really wanting to use the teksid block. 4.6l , my source is Mark 8 block , I want to use the 03/04 terminator top end - heads, intake, eaton blower for now, I am trying to stay with the same brand no mix and matching. I'm not building for max out boost, probably to handle up to 25psi.

I have not heard anything negative back from any of the storkers that I have built. I want to build one for one of my own cars and document the power gain and longevity. I am thinking a big bore Teksid with Trickflow heads.

@@JohnSmithRacing yeah that would be sweet, I wasn't Sure if the boring it would reduce the blocks integrity and make it not worth it in the grand scheme. Again, great content, thanks for the meticulous build videos
