So beautiful. I’m new to macrame having only done plant hangers so far. I have 1.5mm and 3mm cord. Which would you recommend for the tree of life. Thanks

Thank you for sharing this wonderful project! I am hoping to give it a go but in a 50cm hoop as I have a large wall to fill. I will be using 3mm 3ply cord but just wondered how long you would suggest each cord - I only have a 100m ball of cord, will this be enough? Many thanks again for such a great video 👍

You can take them a little shorter. It just depends on how long you want the ends to hang. 175 would be ok!

¡Hola! Aro - 30cm Grosor del cable: 2 mm (3 capas retorcidas) Cada cordón mide 200 cm de largo. Yo uso 48 cuerdas. ¿Espero que eso ayude? 😊

Thank you! 3mm will work too but you may not get as many leaves in there. Try 40/44 cords instead of 48 so it doesn't get too overcrowded. Go for it and message anytime if you need any help!

I like to make sure just over half the hoop is covered in the cords. Start with fewer and see how you go before you cut too many! I can’t wait to see your finished tree 🌳

Trial and error! I have found that 200cm works perfectly for me. If you want a longer fringe hanging down then you can use longer cords.

Absolutely. You may not need to make as many leaves. Start by cutting 40/44 and see how that covers the hoop. (Don’t bunch them up too closely) but you want to make sure half the hoop is covered. Does that make sense?! 🙈

Hi! The largest tree I have done is 50cm. I used 3mm instead of 2mm and I had 15 groups of 4 cords - 60 in total. And I would double the lengths too - 4m I hope that’s clear? X

I’m using your pattern on a bigger scale (using a hula hoop) I was thinking about adding another set(4 strings) to each side to bring the leaves down a bit. Would this work or does it have to be an even number of sets. If I add another set to each side it’ll be 14 sets instead of the 12 you used
