I appreciate that you showed your whole process even though it took a while. So many of these videos skip through things and you miss the little nuances that help give things a more polished look and help add that artistic skill. Really enjoyed having a go at making this. My cord was a little thicker than yours. But your tutorial gave me the confidence to adapt and its turned out ok. I have some thinner cord so hopefully i will get better next. Thank you for putting this out.

Absolutely love this and going to make it. Couple o questions. 1. How long did it take you to make? 2. We have cats so I don’t necessarily want the hanging cords at the bottom. Is there a nice way to finish them off closer to the hoop? Thank you!

Hi Chris! I usually make them over 2 days, about 7/8 hours (they don’t always go smoothly!) Before you cut any length you could add some glue to hold the final knots onto the hoop in place. Once they’re secure and dry, trim them as short as you can. Alternatively, you could cut them short (and inch or two) and brush them out to a ‘fringe’? I haven’t tried that yet though! Good luck!

Hard to explain, but I’ll try! I have to remove some of the cords, it would look messy if I’d continued to make leaves with the same amount of cords to the centre, there just isn’t enough room. So, instead of cutting or removing the cords completely I decided to made the back look as pretty as the front! Doesn’t that help? X
