Great video! Having just finished the game myself I find myself agreeing with all of your points. One small note though is when you said you were dissapointed you couldn't dash out of your slides, the unlock text for the slide does say that its "by itself, an incomplete technique"

Got this game recently, I loved it. (you may remember, maybe you don't.) bunny-cat-goat girl is one of the best games I've ever played. Genuine.

This reminds me of gamecube era style. Im 100% gonna pick this up

Funny thing about games freaking out on window change. I always thought that gaming is worse on Linux, but after switching I discovered that I can switch to any kind of window that I want and switch around screens and take screenshots of anything and the list goes on... By the way, animations in this game are ridiculously good. That ledge grabbing, one leg standing... Amazing

It's not emulating the PSX in terms of visuals, it's emulating the N64. The dev even explicitly used a filter similar to the one used by the N64 to achieve that visual similarity. This also isn't the dev's first game. He's made several games and tech demos prior to this one. This is merely the first one he's published on Steam.
