Corey Daulton yeah I think it was 79 bucks plus tax and shipping but I also picked up the Diamondhead 15 inch handguard for 69 bucks I think ... i’m actually glad you post up a video with the 20inch barrel and a 15 inch handguard now I have a better idea how it’s gonna look

I bought the 18” barrel from PSA and it shoots lights out! I couldn’t be happier with it. I was going to reload for it but it shoots Hornady ammo so good that I haven’t bothered with it yet.

i know the gun snobs hate psa but i've had really good luck with their stuff.

Nice. I think I got mine at the same time; maybe one of the last at that time, cause they didnt have them for a few weeks. Haven't had a chance to fire it yet, unfortunately. Built a custom lower with a CMMG kit, but mixed a ergo grip with it. Got a smaller PA scope for now. I look forward to hearing more about yours.

I just got a Bear Creek arsinal barrel for it. Weather permitting I'm going to get it out today and do some testing with it. Probably put up a quick video later today. Thanks for watching!

I have been looking at the Grendel for a while now, just to get the weight down from my Armalite AR-10 A2. Seems you went the other way. Made the Grendel weigh as much as my AR-10 lol. Hand load experimenting will be the way to best tailor a load for your rifle. Good luck with it

I got lucky ...AR15TAC 20" upper in 6.5 grendel topped with a Primary Arms 4-14 HUD DMR and a Velocity 3lb single stage trigger....1/2 MOA with 123 grain Hornady Black ammo. It quickly became my favorite.

Heck yea! It really is a great round. Since I replaced the barrel it's closer to 1 moa.

I have the same upper. Shoots 1/2 MOA with H4198 and 123 Hornady sst

i haven't looked for it since at least this plandemic started, probably even a little before. but i know powder and primers are nonexistant and off the shelf ammo is ridiculous.

I painted that exact same Bob Ross in the background when I was in highschool 😂

How does the gun weight compare to ar-15 in 223?

with the stock and the barrel i have on it its considerably heavier

What load data did you use for 140gr bullet and did they fit in the mag? All the load data I've found shows varget only good for 128gr bullets And everyone seems to agree that 140 is too heavy. When you develop a load you can't just throw in some powder and assume it will be accurate, at a minimum I like to do a .5gr charge increase for the charge range in the data. Stuffing varget in everything could be your problem. I wish it was good for all the bullets and I wish 140 was appropriate but varget isn't supposed to be used with lighter bullets. If you can try tac or imr 8208 xbr

it may be slightly too heavy. i've always had good luck with 123gn rounds.

well i've been wanting to do a new video but the weather has been so darn bad. I've since replaced the barrel in hopes of getting better accuracy out of it because the factory barrel for me was basically musket material. I've still yet to find a load/bullet combination it likes even with the new barrel. going to try a few more rounds of testing before i throw in the had in the rifle and just shoot factory ammo at 3 MOA, or worse.

Thats not good man psa claims moa with factory loads. So i would contact them if the barrel doesnt sort out. I freaking HATE having to send in a gun though.

@@stultsn thats exactly why i just said f it and ordered a new barrel. HOWEVER, another problem i've ran in to is headspacing. seems to be off. but again i haven't had a ton of time to sit down and sort out the issue just for the fact that i've been annoyed with this gun all around for its musket like accuracy

those are just the cheap vortex tactical rings i think they're medium height

What’s the weight of your Grendel build? I did a 24” build that weighs 12lbs.

its got to be at least that. that stock is super heavy.

Just a idea, most of your shots are left to right, from what I see. check your parallax in the scope, Shooting long range in Viet-Nam we would see the same thing. I use all FFP SWAF fixed 16x42 scopes now, and we shoot incredible groups at 300yds, sub . Nice 08 and very good video. thx for the input and MAGA hat love it , we going to need him back

Thanks. I have a few i just didn't feel like people would be interested in seeing another guy shooting holes in paper i'd rather just talk about it. I ended up replacing the barrel. went to test it today its just so darn windy here in ohio. thanks for watching!

yea fn makes some barrels for psa but i believe they're marked accordingly and they say so on the spec sheet.

How high are them scope rings

Where in Ohio ? I just ordered this upper and will likely end up with the same rifle you have as I'm planning on the PRS butt stock and some sort of Vortex Viper 6x24 scope. I also reload and am looking forward to working up loads for it. If you haven't yet check out Johnny's reloading channel on KZread. he has lots of 6.5 Grendel reloading videos. Anyway good luck

^same build except a Gisele trigger. 120gr barnes percision and 123 gr hornady black factory ammo is hiddeious. Over 2 inch grouping after sighted in. Did you contact PSA for a barrel or went and bought on your own?
