How come was the steam deck tested with a micro sd card as opposed to the SSD when trying to compare each platform’s optimal loading speeds

We wanted to test the amazingness that is the Steam Deck and its ability to be able to handle AAA games on only a Micro SD Card, the fact the loading times were still impressive considering the card it was running is only a testament to how brilliant the hardware is behind the Steam Deck!

That second makes it look soo much more seamless

Playing on 7200 rpm hdd and getting steam deck sd card speeds. Sometimes a couple seconds faster, sometimes a couple seconds slower. If you plan on playing on ssd sata, expect it to be faster than this but slower than m.2.

Appreciate the test but why did you compare a PC and PS5 which both have SSD to a micro SD card in the Deck? Trying to show a worst case scenario or something?

Absolutely not! Quite the opposite! We wanted to show how amazing the Steam Deck is with its loading times on a card that is obviously not made for gaming purposes! The fact that the Steam Deck was only a few seconds off the PC and PS5 for some of its tests shows how amazing it is and how on par it is with the latest hardware in the storage field that it can still gain impressive stats with it running from only a Micro SD Card

@@wonderfulday77 I watched it in its entirety. I’m just questioning what’s the point. Like the reasoning behind why. It’s like racing a car on a hot track with winter tires against others with slicks just because you can and then exclaiming how good it did(it really didn’t) despite being gimped.

😂😂 Angry steam deck owner? This is more of a real life scenario. Most people including me go for the sd card option anyway. Outside of watching this video, Avg person wouldn't notice or even care about the load time that much

Bro you should have put the game on the internal ssd of the steam deck, instead of a crappy micro sd card
