Garyharry Gaming try leaving the game in for half an hour without starting the application at least then come back to it . (When u hear no disc sound) mine does that with every game (god of war, devil may cry , CoD ,Fifa 20) and I just have to do that 🙁 sad but no choice.

@@clxmpgodyt3682 If you have a friend with the disk try to re install with your friends disk. Then play the game a bit and then close the application and then use YOUR disk for the game and it should work. ( This will obviously not work if you have a digital copy ) This worked for Star Wars Battlefront 2.

This is happening for literally all of my games right now, and I've spent more time trying to get my Playstation to turn on, than I've actually played the damn games on the thing.

Worked good for me and I had corrupted data in my system that wasn’t letting me start applications or download stuff because it said I didn’t have any system storage even though I had plenty and a extended hard-drive attached. It repaired everything and thankfully it didn’t delete anything. Thanks again bro I appreciate it

I rebuilt my database, my systems up to date, I even did the first solution and my game still states there's an error.

I can’t open anything on my ps4. Any app I press it’ll close it out as soon as I try to open it. I can’t even open my settings. I even initialized it and it still not working.

I can’t do anything everytime I hit settings it goes back to the app line up and it won’t let me hit the app it lands on

Its starts the update download but not the actual game and has a big x on the game at the ps4 home screen

I got it with 7.5 & now I can’t do anything not even with hard reset except I put PS4 in pieces, put it back together, but I must do this with every SU 8.00 & 8.01 means putting it into pieces 2 times

All of this make me reinstall everything from my ps4 but since the update 8.00 3-4 times per month I have to reinstall everything and now I got this error I try to go to the safe mode and now I have to reinstall everything again....

Don't go into safe mode. Tried it and I got stuck in it for a week. Gotta download ps4 update to USB and lose everhthing in the process. And nothing worked properly

I had this same problem whay I did was made sure I had my email and password that way I can log back in then I turned my ps4 in to safe mode and initliazied it and my ps4 works now

Okay. So this happened to me, but for a digital download. When the app was installed, it kept saying it couldn’t launch it. So naturally I delete the app and go to the library to redownload it. It has that little download bar that never moves. I try to start it, it takes me to the PlayStation store and says application can’t be found. TURNS OUT it’s an hard drive issue. I unplugged my hard drive and went to the library. It allows me to download the game. The game is currently downloading to my system. I’ll update to see if anything changes when I replug the hard drive because that’s where the saved data is located.

Hector Garcia It was a hard drive issue. The game started just fine on my system. I had to keep the hard drive unplugged though or it would start the same mess. I ended up getting a new hard drive and everything works fine again.

What if the game I'm trying to start isn't even showing up in the storage

I love how PlayStation hasn’t made a video on this that just proves that they want us to buy a ps5

And this is the reason i play xbox never had one issue ive had my ps4 for 5 years and ive loat all my save data 3 times had to reinstall all my game 4 times and everytime i turn on my ps4 i have to rebuild data base bye bye playstation

More issues are popping up and I'm here to tell you guys that after the 7.00 update. I've been seeing a lot more people with ps4 errors. I don't know why this is happening entirely but I don't like how it's close to the ps5 release. I managed to fix every issue from usb safe mode, launch errors, etc. I highly suggest players save their data to the cloud and replace their hard drive as soon as possible. Sony has had problems with the current hard drives in ps4 and now we can see the problem. Generally the hard drive should last a couple of years depending on use.

When I put the usb into my controller the controller would not connect for some reason, it flashed blue and then it just charged. It won’t work and I was stuck at the “put the usb into your controller and press the ps button” screen until I just turned off my PlayStation and turned it on again

I have no Data saved on my PS4 I put the Disc in. It installs a little bit but then it stopps and there is a Cross on the Installation Bar. And nothing works. From cleaning the Disc to rebuild Database. Nothing works. And it's just this one Game ( Horizon Zero Dawn😢😢😢😢) Every other Game installs with no Problem ( btw. Sorry for bad englisch😅)

@B A R C O D E sort of, you'll just have to resign in and download everything u had again, but u will lose your pictures/videos. your game data will be saved, only the online games tho. if u have like solo offline games u will lose data. but its all worth it in the end if u ask me.
