@@dannajones313 I think I have a faulty hard disk drive. My apps, and games keep becoming corrupted. I tried rebuilding database, work temporarily so I initialize it. (Deletes everythjng on my ps4). But, Im buying a new HARD DISK DRIVE so I wouldn't have problems.

I need help my sharefactory doesn't let me start it. It shows start application but when I do it says content not found would you like to look through the store for it but when im in the store it says I own It and still doesn't let me start it

another method to temporarily bypass the "corrupted" screen is to open KZread first and then open the game you wanna play and so when the corrupted screen comes and tells you to close the application it just closes KZread and you can play the game :)

No matter how many times I delete and reinstall my games onto my external hard drive I still get cannot start application because it is corrupted and I haven't had my 2tb external hard drive for not even 5 months now

I disconnected my external hard drive to download the games for another hard drive and the message appeared after I re connected the original hard drive. The message appears on the screen after play a game for 5 minutes, the only option given is to close app and it says it’s corrupted, I doubt it’s corrupted because it still lets me play but will randomly kick me out showing that message

hello. any help would be appreciated. my ps4 was quitting out of games by itself. then restart fails to "cannot start application" or "game data is corrupt" or "please activate liscences" or "rebuild database" or the machine would just turn off without warning, or, using "restart" menu option, the "cannot start ps4" thing, not to mention the very first instance of everything being locked. but I fixed all that. did everything. even a factory reset. but a couple quick power outages later, it starts doing it sll over again. so again, I go through the motions and fix everything. losing all offline save files on all mine and my son's games. but NOW, mostly everything works, except my main game, online only. no disc. after a complete delete, re-download/install, immediately "cannot start the application". I dont get it. how can the download source net me a corrupted version? how can the ps4 just ..choose 1 random game to not want to activate?? I'm completely lost. 1 person asked me, "remove mods?" I'm on ps4...as far as I know, there are no mods.

Those games are installed in my external hard drive storage. The problem is in the internal hard drive or is just the extended storage? My ps4’s issue is different, the saved data isn't corrupted but I can't start the application since it says "the data is corrupted. Delete the application from the ps4 and insert the disc again" for no reason at all. Do I really have to delete a game I spent so long with? Is there no other way to fix it?

I forget what the latest system software patch is I think it was like 8.2 does anyone else have problems with like their digital games starting the application because for example I had sleeping dogs the game digitally downloaded on my PS4 and I didn't start having application problems until the latest system software patch that I know of it could have just been a glitch or something but I'm wondering if anybody else has had the same problem with their digital games? yes i've had the same problem with gta v it's digitally downloaded and recently saying my data is corrupted, also i can start up any other game it doesn't matter if it's digital or on disc and they work and start completely fine, my internet connection is perfect and i'm almost certain i don't have corrupted data bc i have ps4 pro, lmk what you did you fix yours

@@matthewwolfe8443 yeah, it seems the problem came from my external hard drive. since removing it and porting the games that crashed, to the PS4 internal hard drive the problems have gone away.

ty, i think its fixed the EX hdd, but what started the issue on my end the cable or something may hav been loose and kept disconnecting and "corrupting" the data on it, the rebuild fixed the issue. ty again

Am I only one experiencing “There is not enough space to start the application, you need to delete 268.4 MB”? I literally have 93 GB of free space, have deleted whole games, have rebuilt my database, yet whenever I turn my PS4 on I get this same error whenever I try to start a game or an app. All of this crap has started right around when the PS5 came out, update 8.0. I unplugged my ps4 while it was updating and I think I broke it, I tried turning on my pa4 using the controller but it kept flashing and when I tried many different controllers and usb cables it still wouldn’t work

None of these work. The system won't let me delete them manually and when I rebuilt the database I ended up with more corrupted files than I had before.

I did but now I only can play one game because the external storage was corrupted so I unplugged it and now only play one game so yeah. I did fix it but I can’t use any other games or the external storage. Although I could just redownload games again

The thing is I had a ps4 before years ago, lost it, then just this year got a new one. I still had my acc and all my purchased games in my acc etc, but except one. Fortnite. My little sister has been wanting to play it, and I haven't downloaded it on this ps4 at all, cuz it's new and stuff, and it says it's downloading but it's not? Like I haven't touched the game at all and only tried searching it up and it says it's downloading, but when I click it says "cannot find application, check ps store?" I have tried literally everything on this website and NOTHING has worked. Like idk what my ps4 has with fortnite but it's annoying. I also do NOT have any connected usbs or anything, just a charger and the cords in the back.

tried all of this but still getting corruption error crashes. so far this is only a problem when i use games on the external HDD. i guess its broken, i hope i can work something out with the warranty. edit: im using a Seagate 1TB external HDD.

@Malikk I deleted everything, initialized and rebuild my data base 3 times. Search up for any corrupt saved data and PS4. Don't use any custom themes too. My Monster Hunter World: Iceborne was crashing so I left out the images and only downloaded the main save from my PS Plus online storage and it worked.

This is something weird(or is it). I have a PS4 .I've had the MK XL since 2019. I haven't played it in the last year and when I did a few days ago, it wouldn't load up. Kept giving me the Corrupt error 30005 I followed some 'Fixes' from KZread, then it gave me Cannot start application corrupted data etc. So, I put other games in and they worked fine. I deleted all saved games(even if I lost my Yearly progressions). I did a 'Safe Mode ' Option 5 'Rebuild Database;. After all that, the game rebooted like I just got it, all the frills and bells and whittles. The difference her is that now all the characters excetp 2 can be played and the 'Online' and 'Krypts' titles can't be selected. They are in red. I cant play one player ,two players but can't get online with it. I think on source said , 'its because the game is still downloading somethings', but after a day?

When it says connect the DualShock 4 with the usb cable I plug in my cable and press my ps button but nothing happens

Sign back into your psn account and redownload your games.

Make sure you save your game data to the cloud or back up your ps4 on an external hard drive once in a while. Then you will have protected your games in case of errors.

I rebuilt the database and the problem still persists any other methods you could recommend or should I retry it??

Try the other options on safe mode but make sure to do research on them before clicking it because I’m pretty sure one of them delete all the data on your ps4
