THANKS FOR MUCH! I dropped my record player from a very low shelf about 2 months ago, the platter fell out. Although I've used them wince I was 4 for about 35 years, I've never checked underneath/inside to see how record players work before. I put it back together, assumed a piece was lost or missing because it wasn't turning on. I thought "HOW THE HELL DID IT BRAKE JUST FROM THAT very short distance FALL!?!?" The little spinner was moving, and I could tell it was suppose to make contact with the rubber edge on the underside, but I didn't know in which way. I assumed it spun it like a gear but with metal to rubber with direct contact, like a bike tire moving a flat platform, but it didn't reach. I tried to figure out what was wrong all night, then just gave up and haven't taking a look at it again till today. Once you said the word "belt", I immediately understood what was wrong. Didn't even realize that WAS a belt!

Thank you! Thought I'd have to return it to the thrift store, but thanks to you I got a $30 bargain!

I received a replacement Sony record player because the first one wouldn't spin. I followed the directions to the letter. This one wouldn't spin either. Thanks for this video. Recently bought this turntable at an estate sale. Got it home and nothing seemed to work. I watched your video and outlet the round part off the top and found the rubber band all wrapped around the inside. Removed and reinstalled and it works great!!

This video is a lifesaver, I got the LP60X and I pressed the start button while disconnected by accident, when I reconnected it again and clicked the stop button immediately, wich causes the turntable to just level up and down the needle arm, it got stucked in there. I did this and the problem was fixed, I owe you one man!

I'm having problems with the brass spinner. It won't turn. If I give it thump it will turn a bit. The motor sounds like it's running. If I slightly push down on the spinner I can feel it trying to catch a gear.

I can someone explain how to take of the platter platter ?

my ps started to jump directly to the end of the disc (the center) i don't know how to fix this

Mine have a speed problem :( With an app I figured out is spinning 34, not 33, so all the records are a little bit faster :( Are there any screws or additional regolation to make? A fabric reset or something similar? I've tried your method but the problem persist :(

I bought this player brand new from a pawn shop. The said it had a bad motor. No the belt was off 😅lol

How do you get the platter to come off? Mine wont lift up, and i'm afraid i'm going to break it

When the box was turned upside-down the platter most likely fell from the spindle and popped the belt off. You need to reinstall the belt. This video should help; it's basically the same type of record player: kzread.info/dash/bejne/q2aGzZmgmqrepps.html&feature=emb_logo
