    Yes x 1000, the bonus ending footage is brilliant. A lot of times in videos, as viewers we see the end product and we don't know why or how the person decided what they put into the recipe through trial and error. Having a small glimpse of how everything is effected by "small" choices such as blended, casein, whey, or whatever you choose is so good! What's good to one person may be bad to another, so maybe someone knowing how Whey and Casein affect the waffle can tweak it more themselves to make it perfect for them! As always you drop the best content and I look forward to seeing more of it!

    If you don't have the buttermilk powder, I would say use a splash of almond milk and 3/4 of a teaspoon of vinegar for substitution

    I have tested the different proteins in so much cooking too. Basically, whey is almost non water absorbing, flour is ... flour, and casein is VERY water absorbing. If i want the same consistency using only casein as using whey, i have recognised i need to use about 2.5 times the liquid

    Gonna have to try this! As a side note, you mentioned Belgian style waffles may use egg whites for more volume, which sounds perfect for an anabolic recipe. Curious if you've tried, or if you're just waffled out at this point...

    I haven't! I didn't wanna buy another waffle iron (Belgian style). Egg whites would be great, i thought about it but it's too much work for most people so i stuck with classic waffles. and i'm VERY waffled out lol

    Love this and love the song you used at the end! So you used the same brand of protein, but one a casein and one a whey, correct? No pe science auto combo?? Going to be getting into baking in the near future and this helps me not have to do these tests all over again!

    i wanted to make these waffles but i dint have buttermilk powder and casein so i replaced them with baking powder(3g) and dry milk(30g). i didnt use baking soda. i ended up making crepes instead of waffles cause the dough was very liquidy. the crepes were hecking amazing! thank you for the recipe mina i hope ill make the waffles someday :D

    I believe it was (King) Alton Brown who I heard make the case that waffles are cooked in a very similar manner to deep frying if you consider the high, even, all encompassing heat of a waffle iron, and especially if you butter that thing up a ton. Regardless, a well made crispy waffle stomps on a pancake any day of the week don’t @ me.

    Got a new sandwich press / waffle maker and tried making this just now. It was delicious, but it didn't come out very crispy. I'm not sure if it's because of something wrong I did, or because the waffle maker stopped heating up at some point. Any thoughts?

    Allulose sweetener seems to be most identical to sugar apparently it was online that it can Caramelize like sugar and even is as effective as stuff like high fructose corn syrup for depressing freezing point in stuff like ice cream Just felt like telling you so you could maybe use it In your future recipes

    I tried making these and they were too thick at first since I used coconut flour and cashew milk. Next time I used a pancake mix as the flour along with cashew milk. I think cause I don't have a full caesin blend along with normal flour then

    I eat baked salmon every other day. I just salt on it and it tastes great. No extra calories abs still tasty. So can you do a baked salmon recipe somehow? Doesn’t have to be just salmon as long as it’s not overloaded with extra calories.

    I really like how you express it like that cause that's how i calculate my recipes. 1/10 is the max I shoot for in my recipes, because it'll give me 1g/1lb bodyweight, my minimum is 1/14 cause it'll give me minimum amount of protein.

    I used 75:25 (casein:whey) and batter was soo thiccc and waffles came out floppy and not crispy at all So i tried 50:50 and 25:75 and still bad, something is off with my casein 🤔

    What could you substitute the buttermilk powder for? Buttermilk powder isn't available over here in Sweden unfortunately. Saw you mentioning baking powder, how much of that should I use?

    You can leave it out, just use baking powder not soda, 1/2 - 3/4 tsp should do it

    "no weird ingredients" do most people have buttermilk powder on hand? probably easy to find in the store i assume, though

    It’s really easy to find in any grocery store, it’s bobs red mill products. You could also use regular buttermilk, or skip it and use baking powder

    I'm honestly not sure on their ratios, reading the label, it might be more on the whey side(80/20?). I'll have more on that soon

    I need to ask cause everytime I try making protein waffles it just bubbles up and leaks over the waffle maker. Why is that and will that happen here with this recipe?

    it's either too much batter or too much baking powder, if you put too much batter with these, it will happen
