Just found your channel a couple of days ago. I am enjoying your videos a lot. And, of course, learning something. especially about usa food and the way you guys cook..it is quite different from my home country: portugal.

The great equal contribution between shortbread cookie and caramel is epic.

As a professional Confectionist i recommend making the twix with a shortcrust instead of shortbread, its crunchier and has more bite to it, its also honestly just easier to make

My mum's the same. We did have one for a few years, which I pretty much the only one to use it on food (she still warmed butter in the sink with water). It broke down a few months ago, and there are no plans to replace it. There isn't really much you "need" it for, like not even to the point where it makes things drastically easier

I'm not a professional chef at all, however I feel the need to give my 2 cents about papa's candy today In my opinion, a chocolate candy bar is designed to deliver chocolate to you in a satisfying manner, usually paired with other candy/baked foods to spice up your life. With that being said I think papa's twix had way too much bread+caramel to chocolate ratio. Og twix looks like it had the same amount of chocolate as papa twix, but og twix had half as much caramel and bread. I would honestly go *less* than what og twix puts in their chocolate bars, but I do respect papa's cooking today and I am tempted to recreate this with much less inside candy

I like the contrasting texture of the caramel, chocolate, and the crisp short bread cookie. Im sure yours tastes better but idk how I'd feel biting into something that's supposed to be a twix and it didnt have the crisp crunch and it was just soft.

Rate your pain on a scale of 1 to 10.

I personally like Twix, here's why: Good texture, good to crunch with the teeth. Quick snack, you don't have to make it. No need for perfection, as it is simply a chocolate bar. The feeling of the caramel stretch, and the taste of it, very delicious. (This is just from my perspective though)

I'm just glad he didn't break out the chocolate grinder, and make his own chocolate from scratch again like he did with the smore video.

I had a Twix bar in New Zealand and for some reason, it had WAY more flavor than the ones in the states. It had hins of things like cinnamon and such. It was weeeiiirrrd, but in the best way possible.

It's a US chocolate thing. The chocolate in NZ and AU used cane sugar and more actual chocolate particulates. Honestly it seems to be an issue with US food in general. Fast foods like Mcdonalds are also better in these countries ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

this is a man who has never used a twix bar as a straw for tea.

The best thing to do with a twix is to bite each end and use as a straw for a hot drink. Makes the biscuit soft and melts the caramel. Great with coffee. Can yours do that?

Bendy honestly yo you can copy the way he cooks. Ngl ive never cooked in my life till i found his channel. His channel is an absolute god send you should really try getting into cooking. Amazing time killer and simple if you make it that way

Nah ~ I wish I lived down the street from Josh so he could invite a bunch of friends over and we all just joke around a lot & eat his cooking (even if it's not as elaborate as his video cooks, I'm sure his meals are all yum)
