    You don’t put any grease on bearing before installing? Also I at start of video you pulled from pulley side and the puller shaft you have seems much longer than what I have. Couldn’t get mine to work.

    Freeze your bearings before installing. They almost fall in.

    I'm pretty sure you put the primary bearing in first untill ot bottoms in the wheel. disc side is primary. then you put spacer in and other bearing until it touches the spacer. none the less. you're not using a hammer good job

    If you have a abs with the isolated drive system in rear pulley you will have 3 bearings in the rear total.. I have the 08 Anniversary Ultra with abs and there is a bearing for rear belt pulley and then behind that pulley there is a wheel bearing ( this is all on left rear) then on brake rotor side ( right side) rear behind the rotor is another wheel bearing

    Why is it a throw away bearing when removed w proper tool?

  • @JeffinTD

    @JeffinTD

    Ball type bearings can be damaged when a high load is put on its axis. When you pull the bearing, you are pulling by the inner race, against the interference fit of the outer race in the bore. Once removed the bearing might not immediately seem bad, this likely damages the balls and sets the gearing up to fail. Pressing in the new bearing, the pressing force should only be applied to the outer race. It is also important that the bearing be fully seated in the bore. Otherwise, when installed in the motorcycle and the axle is tightened, the axle will force the bearing the rest of the way in via the inner race, again damaging the bearing.

    AT 1:16 WHY DO YOU IN STALL THE 2 BEARINGS WITHOUT THE CENTER SPACER ??? YOU SHOULD KNOW BY NOW TO INSTALL THE SPACER ??? AND WHAT ABOUT THE SPACER CORRECT LENTH ??? YOU MUST ALWAYS CHECK THAT BECAUSE YOU DO NOT ALWAYS KNOW WHAT CLOWN WORKED ON THIS WHEEL BEFORE YOU AND JUST TOSS IN WHATEVERY SPACER LOOK GOOD??? A MASTER TECH WOULD PUT A LITTLE GREAS ON THE BEARING OUTER EDGE AND THE THREADS OF THE TOOL TO HELP MAKE THE JOB GO MUCH EASIER ... JUST SAY`N... YOU REALLY DO NOT WANT ME IN YOUR SHOP IF YOU SHOW YOUR INCOMPETENCE ON FILM FOR THE PUBLIC TO SEE, I COULD NOT IMAGINE WHAT YOU DO OFF CAMERA ... i am a Master Aircraft Tech for the Government for many years and everything i do is checked and rechecked no mistakes allowed ever when i make mistakes people die, and what you are doing here is the same thing people could get hurt too if you make mistakes you really need to teach better, like the width of the bearing you are installing is correct??? you should state that they are different on some bike hubs some take a 3 millimetre wider .125 '' on one side for Anti-Lock brake hubs... i have a friend that rear wheel locked up 4 times at very high speed like 90 MPH before a tech noticed the wrong bearing width was used causing the bearing to shift positions and some how fail and lock up..
