Two years ago a made a Gender Critical Day video. I had peaked, but was still using preferred pronouns because I wanted to Be Kind. A few months on and I realised I was still perpetuating the myth people can change sex even while say they couldn’t by using preferred pronouns. If I knew the man’s birth name, I used that too. I was neither kind, nor polite - nor gaslit. Saying [Sarah Jane Baker encouraged her followers to “punch a terf”. Her followers cheered. She is now a political prisoner.] is not the same as [Alan Baker, convicted kidnapper, torturer and sex offender, shouted to a crowd of other men to “punch women in the fucking face” with his male followers cheering. He was arrested for inciting violence to women.]

I love this. A witty yet forensic examination of the insidious creep of gender ideology into our language, it’s stultifying effect on society at large and the terrifying consequences for women
