Promaster - Ducato Struts and Mounts Replacement - Fixed Popping Noise When Turning
Replacing front struts on 2014 and up Ram Promaster (Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer, and Citroen Jumper). Can you hear a "popping" noise when turning the steering wheel? Then you need upper strut mounts!

great vid!! and good work explaining!!
Great video! Just the information I needed. Thank you sir!
Thanks! That was the problem I was having, my ProMaster has 360k miles
Thank you my friend.😇
good job
Thanks
Great video. I get the noise when I turn but also get clunking on bumps. Going to replace these mounts and hopefully that's it. Thanks for the video
You mentioned 2 hours allowed for the job. Is that for 1 strut or both struts? What is a reasonable amount of time needed to replace a pair of these stunts and bearings from the time you start to the time you finish? Assuming you have the proper tools for the job. Looks like a fair amount of time and effort is expended to just get to them, then put everything back afterwards.
Whoever designed these vans and put the BCM there should be strung up!
Is there a way to do maintenance on the strut bearings? Add grease ?
Is it necessary to remove axle from knuckle or did you do that for speed?
Gabriel makes a strut kit that has a new spring installed plus that top bearing mount for $135.
Was that 1st time they changed them, how many miles?
Don't we have to pump the strut before assembling it (mechanic has told me once) ?
why didn't you show how you put bottom back together

2 hrs labor is ridiculous. Customers only see the total bill and have no idea how little of that actually goes to the tech.
Damn.. I thought I could change them on my own. Is to much work and I definitely don't have the appropriate tools.
