Wingovers are my favorite thing to do in the air. As of just over three years of flying and doing wingovers it’s up to the person. Don’t be pressured to do more then you are comfortable with. Keep up the great progression.

Thanks! I'm actually going to be having another wingover progression video coming soon!!! I've definitely made progress but on my time and at my pace haha.

Did lots of wing over practice way up high, pulled 0.7 G's on a big boat wing U1.1 28m, only with trims in. Consider I'm on a fixed bar high hang machine as well so I have no weight shift, so all I got is brakes and throttle through a Top 80. What gets me going is timing the throttle; when the wing dives I push it with throttle and then get off throttle at the bottom of the turn, forcing pitch oscillation to some degree which builds a lot of energy.

A bit low to be saying "That is definately a wing over! Woo Hoo!" You should be 1000ft higher. Fly high, and fly safe.

Obviously it would almost always be safer to do any acro at 5000ft + so you have forever to fix an issue but we all decide internally what safety net we want for ourselves. But flying high brings its own set of risks!

Bare in mind the higher you go the more out side brake pressure you need

One thing that will help with your brake input is instead of pulling to your chest area like around 1:15 mark pull strait down and also to make your turns WAY more smooth the outside brake hand strait arm with it as it will keep your turns much more stable.. And want to try something real fun? Pull big ears and weight shift wingovers. it will really help with timing. Also we refer to most of what you did as wing unders a good wingover your over the wing and the wing is more less under you.

Thanks for the advice. I pull in to try and get more tip steering than brakes because i feel like i build more energy and dive more that way. As for wingovers ya i know I'm not fully there yet but the way I figure it, my center dot was below the horizon so my body was higher than the center of the wing. Maybe a stretch hahaha but gotta try.

@@JustOutHereTinkering You'll get there try putting more weight shift in think of the words "hands and body and brake" that sets the rhythm for good wingovers. and get leaned way over the J bars when weight shifting. Also i recommend a SIV course sometime down the road if you want to learn more about yourself and your limits. It's also a good way to network and get some awesome feedback and instruction. I am not saying you must take one but i at one time was reluctant to take one and now that i have i wouldn't look back. Just do yourself a favor and DO TONS of research on the instructors out there if you do take one :D One last thing i know you mentioned it but yes keep outside pressure on the brakes during these....

@@209_calicustomz well I could totally take these way further and go way bigger no problem, it's only my choice to build slowly and take my learning process slow. If I pulled 2 more inches of brake it would do a wingover 100%. I'm just building up to have the confidence to do that lol

do you have your wing tip steer lines tided in with your breaks ??? Im pretty sure BGD dose not recommend doing that on the luna 2 , You might want to check into it

I do have the 2d tie in and BGD mentions nothing of it in the manual. I've read it front to back and the only mention they make is something along the lines of, Tip steering can be used in conjunction with brakes to change the characteristics of your turns". That's basically 2d...

Nice video! I currently have 60 flights in and fly a BGD Magic. I just picked up a slightly y used Luna 2. And haven’t flown it yet. Have you been primarily using a Luna 2 from the beginning? Just curious as I’m being conservative on my progression.
