    I have 130hr on my Luna 20m. I've taken it on lots of big XC trips (including the Wingman challenge). My opinion is that it's a very PRACTICAL xc wing, but not a high performance one. The well behaved launch is a lifesaver when you're exhausted, loaded with gear, and launching from a tight spot in switchy air. The gobs of flair will save you a skinned knee on you land at high elevation carrying 30lb of extra gear. Your buddies on freerides and warps will come screaming in at light speed. The passive safety and "tame" handling saves you from collapses while going through the real stuff in mid day mountain flying. You can fly hands-off more of the time while your buuddies on spicy high efficiency wings wincing through the pain of holding their arms up on the brakes toggles for 4hr straight through rough air. It does all that while having enough performance that you wont be handycapped on range. You can still go plenty far on a tank. Its a PRACTICAL xc wing with just enough performance keep up.

    Great review! Love my Luna 2 :) Chase cam footage looks great, how did you configure it? To what lines is the chase cam connected?

  • @JustOutHereTinkering

    Chase cam is hard to get right! And it changes for every glider. This glider it worked out well, stock line length, a good size bolt taped to the top of the chase came to balance the weight because it wanted to point down too much, and I attach it to the center most D line, through the loop on the fabric where the line attaches.

    Love my Luna on my trike, but really want to start foot launching it. A little afraid it is too fast for me to launch and land

    If you get the timing right and nail your launches it's not too fast at all. And landings are nice and slow too. But if you don't get your launch quite right you could have to run. But Luna is easy as can be to foot launch and land. Don't be afraid if you can actually run decently well

    Smaller is almost always faster. But I wouldn't expect to gain extraordinary amounts of speed from one size smaller

    Is this a thin or thicker fabric.

  • @JustOutHereTinkering

    @JustOutHereTinkering

    By weight and feel it's a thicker fabric. It's thicker than the new Nucleon 4 for example. But inflation is an absolute breeze and thats the only potential downside of heavier fabric.

    @@JustOutHereTinkering I get 28-42 mph on nuke 4 26m Im 104kg which probably puts overall with about 150kg. I think that's a bout middle of weight range. People often talk about speed but never talk about what they weigh.. As my weight fluctuates it affects the wing speed. When flying with friends makes a difference.

    Love your reviews What I was very scared to ask Got Answered For Clarity This wing can be for cross country and to save fuel or fuel saving Then My eagerness to know After take off with high RPM Torque I feel can fly longer cross country with lower RPM Is that right? I am looking@that exactly After taking off after some feet above With lower RPM Next total all up weight 262pounds Is it including Paramotor +you Thanks I feel you answered my curiosity But still wish to have confirmations just with Lower RPM can it this wing or any other wing too can fly cross country fuel saving Thanks Eagerly awaiting for your kind answer Sir Tinkering God Bless Have a safe flying Mumbai City India 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 10.19pmFeb18Sat2023🙏🙏🙏

    My all up weight is me standing on a scale with the motor on my back fueled up, helmet on and ready to fly. As for fuel efficiency. The lower the rpm the lower the fuel burn. At its base this means the Luna is not very efficient. You also have to factor in speed because if I'm doing 25mph at 5400rpm on one wing and 30mph at 5400rpm on another wing, the 2nd wing is more efficient. In this case though, the Flow RPM is smaller, faster, and has a lower RPM for cruising at that higher speed. So it's more efficient in every way I can measure it.

    That's my observation as well. Regarding pitch stability, it flies more similar to Ozone gliders, a little less pitch-stable than Dudeks. But man, it's a very fun wing to fly!
