    You need to remember you have tips steering is tied in your pulling towards your chest pull straight down so that you’re not pulling the tip steering also

    Another good video - I’m at a similar position in my progression too The camera angle is good however being able to see both wing tips so we can see both brake inputs on the trailing edge of the wing I think may help us learn from you as we will see the timing on when and where they’re used Keep up the great work Dale- Australia

    Control the wing. Pulling it up in reverse and going straight into a transition before you even had control, you about dumped it. It works now, but luck will run out.

    You're progressing carefully, which is good. My only tip would be to add power during the "swoop", when you're coming out of the wingover. You were doing a little bit of this, and it seemed like it was helping. This will definitely add energy and get you up over your wing faster. But always meter it with pulling outside brake. Good luck - have fun!

    Thanks for the tip! My friend told me I should do my wingovers full throttle. I've opted to be more cautious and as you said, feed power in slowly and smoothly lol.

    I'm not an expert. With that being said... 1. Please get more altitude, especially while learning. It looked like you started your runs too low in the last few attempts on the other wings. 2. Ditch the selfie-stick. It's preventing you from maximizing your weight shift. Weight shift makes this easier (cross those legs) and helps with timing. 3. You're probably holding inside brake too long as you've mentioned. It doesn't seem like you're ever truly entering the swing except at the start when you're able to switch from side to side. 4. The outside brake should be engaged briefly (a double-pump to keep that tip from collapsing) when the outside tip is pointing up at the top of the swing, just before you start swinging under again. Other than that, you probably shouldn't be trying to use outside brake. 5. You'll get it! Don't push it. You'll know when you're doing it right from the feeling.

    @@JustOutHereTinkering That makes sense! I think a lot of us try to keep our floor at 1,000 AGL and start higher, like 2,000. Sucks waiting, I know. 😁

    You don't look to be going hands up at the right time or getting the timing of weight shift right either.

    I had the exact same scenario while taking off once at a friends field but I was ready and started running again when I came back down. Probably wasn't the best decision since it was a tight lz but at no time did I feel out of control although I did get pretty close to some trees but I just flew the wing. Hey how do you like that Driftair vs the RPM? This may be the year I upgrade and I'm partial to Flow going into my 3rd season on a Cosmos Power. Oh and I'm tryin to learn wingovers this year so keep the vids coming!

    Haha good times. I can say this about the driftair. When it was in the air, I liked it. It was super maneuverable and gained a crap ton of energy. However I was on a 16m and I really felt the launch was a bit on the difficult side. It doesn't seem to get a whole lot of lift and it requires a lot of airspeed to begin flying. The flow rpm is 75% as agile but 100% easier to launch and more efficient. But once again that's a 16m to 18m comparison which isn't entirely fair I don't think.

    What you miss is stopping it from starting to rotate. Then you swing under it.

    Pap is great. It holds up better to a topple better in my opinion, disassembles way way easier, is much cheaper to replace a busted net or busted hoop section. Also has an airbag to protect you from butt landings. Good unit for sure

    How can you describe RPM Flow compared to Dudek Driftair?

  • @JustOutHereTinkering

    @JustOutHereTinkering

    Жыл бұрын

    Well I'm slightly apples vs oranges because the 2 i flew aren't the same size, however the Flow is more efficient, more stable, and easier to launch in my opinion. The Driftaire is more maneuverable and is just so nimble and flickable and it's an acro machine at the end of the day.

    @@JustOutHereTinkering got it! RPM looks more like XC wing and I wonder if during wingovers wingtips dont go softer on lines. It can be rather like Dudek Hadron🤔. I am pretty curious about that wing. Keep going!

  • @JustOutHereTinkering

    @JustOutHereTinkering

    2 of the wings are 18m and one is a 16m. Trimmed all the way in, as you really should on any wing for acro flying as far as i know, and 260lbs or so all up

  • @mochamon

    I haven the flow 20m and my AUW is 123kg. So pretty similar to yours. You are going way bigger than me on wingovers. The flow is really agile(at least to me). It’s hard to tell by the video but it looks like you could be pulling the brakes too early as well. At that point there isn’t much you energy in the wing. I wait until I am almost at the bottom of the swing before I pull brakes (just as you are starting to feel the g forces). Then it’s usually a short pull. Of course with opposite brake as well. Keep up the great video. Love your reviews!!!

    Im at the same stage. I’m no expert so I’m not saying I’m right but I agree with you that maybe you are holding the brake too long. The wings you are flying are very agile and maybe you are pulling too much brake when you enter the spiral.
