Thanks 👍
I still got 1¢ and 2¢ coins and I think I still have old $1 and $2 notes plus a $5 coin
A tempting work out! I will surely try this. Thanks PJ, the Wonder Guy!!!!!
i think the effort and time involved in selling these coins would be far greater than finding them :) would also be very hard to sell recent $2 that is circulated

The fact that they are so hard to find and many of us have NOT got hundreds of dollars to go to the bank and get so many rolls, we are left with no option but to buy them. Especially this year when shops don’t even want coins because of COVID.
Hope that in the future people look at this video and are amazed how cheap they use to be......

Would love to see you go through and do an excel spreadsheet on all $2 coins. I work with cash and am always looking out for coins like these. Found the purple one yesterday
When you take your coins back to lets say commonwealth bank. Do you get charged a % at the counting machine

If you have an bank account with them there is no charge.

@@rl5847 I don't have a bank account with them, they ask and I just say yes. Never had to show proof.

I saw that there is a maximum of $1000 in the change machine when returning coins then a fee applies. Not sure how much though. Also you need to put in your card. Often it is credited to your account that evening with the CBA but an old local CBA machine gives a receipt docket which can be cashed straight away. They say the machine is for CBA customers only.
Nice. I wouldn't sell mine in any way.
Where can you sell your coins
Good luck with that.🤣😂
So when we go to a cashless society within 10yrs these coins will go up in value a lot?
@PJsCoinCapers

It could drop off in value also as the demand and hobby may not be as popular

Zac I don't sell on eBay but I sell on one of the groups I help out on. Coins Collecting of interest
Always a good video but you always seem to be short of a pointer. Get half a doz pencils, biros or paper clips and keep them on your bench. Just trying to help.
👍👍👍👍👍

0:03 "So yesterday *we* went through $1000 worth of $2 Dollar Coins" Um, what is this *we* business, you mean *you* went through $1000 worth of $2 Dollar Coins.
Sorry Peter but your calculations are wrong. You have only deducted 1 dollar off the cost of a 2 dollar coin.

16 coins = -$32, as per the spreadsheet?
@toys8799
4 жыл бұрын
@@BornAgainCynic0086 Hi Jeff, Garry is right in that the calculations are wrong. If you look at a single coin like the commonwealth that sold for $5 and subtract $3.70 ($2 coin + $1 postage + 0.70 ebay/paypal) the profit is $1.30 not $2.30. Maybe the postage for each coin didnt subtract through the spreadsheet as the profit is wrong by $16. Total profit $39.72
@toys8799

Hi Garry, your right, the profit is out by $16.

@@toys8799 Same with the changeover coin. Cost $4, Sold $12, Less post $2, Less fees $1.68 = $4.32 not $6.32. So working on that basis was the profit made really worth the effort? Answer has to be NO! I collect coins & I certainly would not spend hours buying rolls, checking, listing on ebay, posting etc for only a few $$ profit.
