Gumardee coins and banknotes It's just coins though. The proof set is something, but the 1992 50c you showed us, is from a set. But, really, it's just a coin. If I ever find one, I would spend it, unless in high grade. They're also legal tender don't forget.

I found a 2007 DDO, kangaroo's nape, tail, and left leg. Emo's neck and leg. And also the number 50.

Yesterday I found a round 1966 50 cent coin in the reject shoot of the coin counting machine at my bank, must have been the person who used the machine before me. I’m not sure if that counts as being found in circulation?

Lots of pennies have similar mintages and are low value in low grade.

Very informative,I have a 1979 in my meager collection. I do need to confirm an error coin,a 1 franc peice. It appears to have a line through 75% of the print on the face of the coin. It's a 1975 1 franc

Thank you. That sounds like it is a die crack, some people do collect those errors. Try searching the internet for Franc errors. What country is the Franc? Swiss, France, Belgium, French Pacific etc.

The astronauts head should be at 2 o'clock, Earth should be at 6 o'clock or at the bottom. Hope this helps. I do not collect proof coins.

didn't mention the off set Head 50 cent piece , queens head is angled forward about 10% compared to the coat of arms on the reverse side . Haven`t seen one but would like to ! and what it`s worth ?

Possible, but I would not get your hopes up. You could ask if anyone has deposited any old currency. They know what a round 50c is.

Very common coin, $1-2 high grade, $4 uncirculated. All others just 50 cents.

My Grandmother has a biscuit tin full of round 50 cent coins from 1966 (71 to be precise) and I have been collecting 1966 20 cent pieces myself now for a while (I have 5 up to date) are they worth anything? I also have 1967 and 1968 20c pieces as well. Would appreciate it if you could let me know if they are worth collecting!

The 20 are worth collecting in high grades, low grades I spend unless error coins. 50 cents in silver are bullion value and sell between $8-10. Hope this helps.

Yes thank you for that. I had someone tell me recently 20 cent pieces from 1966 are worth $2K each because they were pre-decimal currency and made in Birmingham in England and then transported to Australia for distribution in 1967 - a load of cocky rot I think!!!!

Only coins minted from 1985 have initials. They are the RDM 1985 to 1998, IRB from 1999 to 2019 and JC for 2019 current. I try to reply to questions. And I do like manners. I hope this helps you and enjoy the hobby.

In uncirculaed condition the 50 c is worth $15 and 20c $20, 5 cents $10. 20c has a wavy error that year.
