I'm so grateful that I get to occasionally work with brands I actually like to create sponsored videos. Their direct support helps keep this channel afloat in the ever unstable world of KZread ad revenue. These videos will always be disclosed, of course, and I appreciate everyone's kind support for these partnerships. Royalty Soaps also participates in commission or discount affiliations, like Amazon or RewardStyle, as these opportunities become available, like Amazon and RewardStyle and while the money we make with these links isn't much, every little bit counts and once again, we really appreciate your support! These products will always be marked and disclosed with a "✦".

    Hey guys! Just wanted to drop in and say that I totally understand/agree that standing on soap can be dangerous. No one wants a busted tailbone because of soap 😂 Thanks to all of you for watching my video! It means the world to me that you took the time to check it out, and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed making it. ❤ If you have any suggestions for future videos, feel free to drop them in the comments below!

They post hacks that can be dangerous and people try it and, for example, have an egg explode in a microwave, or explode in their face after being removed from microwave and they have horrible burns. I told her last night, you know the soap in our shower, she said yes. I said she made that soap. She was really? We OWN a soap she made? I said yes we do. She said that is so cool. • @alenazwiep2996

    @alenazwiep2996

    Жыл бұрын

    @@nepune93 How would that make it fun? I mean, the problem with washing dishes by hand is there are 23 individual items to wash, wet food feels gross, sponges are breeding grounds for bacteria, and in three hours there will be even more dishes to wash (which is depressing). Sliding a piece of frozen soap (so, a cold, slimy item, which might not want to come out of the ice tray, thus increasing stress) into a sponge will not make any of those things better. I honestly don't see what part of this you think would be "fun". ...And yeah, you can buy bags of single-use dishsoap pods at the store lol

    I went to grade school in the 1970s, and our soap dispensers used to give us a tiny shaving of soap (I don't know if they were loaded into the dispensers in tiny sheets or if it shaved a bit of soap each time) to wash our hands in the washroom. That confetti single-use soap reminded me of that, but I bet it smells nicer than the industrial-type shaved soap we had back in the Olden Times.

    I don't know if I'm weird, but the single use soap bar shreds are the exact opposite of what I would want. I hate when I have a bar of soap that gets to being almost gone and it's this tiny little flimsy bit that is harder to handle and easier to drop. When I get to the point where it's super pliable, I usually get a new bar and sort of graft the remnants of the old one onto the new bar so it isn't wasted but is now attached to a proper bar that can fill my hand

    6:45 - at first, I agreed with your assessment of that soap hack. But I can see it being useful in 2 particular situations- 1) having a child set up and run the dishwasher. No worries about under/over filling. And 2) a visually impaired person, same reasons as with kids. But it would only make sense if dishwasher pods weren’t accessible at that time/place or if the gel is like waaaaay cheaper than pods.

    Hi Katie, new to the channel and I really like it. I "made" a kind of a soap yesterday- but since I live in the middle of the jungle in Costa Rica, I have no access to a postal service or any place that sells melt and pour soap base. So... I'm sure this is some kind of soap crime, but I melted a regular $1 soap bar from the corner store in a double boiler, mixed used coffee grounds into it, and poured it into an old yogurt pot. It re-solidified so quickly that the top is pretty ragged, but it still sort of worked. It's very scrubby (which is what I wanted) and it looks like an Oreo McFlurry. Any tips on upping my game on this ? given my minimal access to ingredients?

    As far as I know, sand is regularly used to MAKE molds as well as be temporary molds itself in some places. I don't even think it's specifically kinetic sand - possibly some type of sand that's clean, fine, smooth and holds well together when pressed; it's like in sand sculpting.

    I picked up a bit of felting. Mostly dry but I looked up Methods for wet felting... I think this felted soap would just fall apart. They don't layer it just pressing it all together, I don't think this would hold up. Yep just watched a 10 min Tutorial on that, you need to work the fibers into each other. Wetting the soap with hot and cold water, rubbing the soap and the felt around it together until you can't pull it apart easily. You can also see the yellow felt sticking out in the shower scene... that's supposed to be ON there xD It's an easy projekt you can do in I dunno 20 minutes? Just take a bit of extra time and u have a usable felt soap.

    I needle-felt on occasion, and I have my doubts about that hack XD IMHO I think without felting all the scraps TOGETHER, they would all just fall off...and clog the shower XD and be basically clumps of soggy faux fur in your shower, sink, ect. There is no end to Five Minute Crafts and the crimes they commit against sanity, there really isn't. Can't wait for the next video! XD

    Faux fur wouldn't felt. If it was real wool, it will totally felt if you rub it a bunch.

    IDK, we'll have to wait and see if Katie tries that one XD, if it was just sitting there I'd say yeah, it would probably stick, but when you rub it a bunch and get it wet...but like I said; IDK, Personally I would just use a loofa to make a scrubby soap, lol, but to each their own

    @@jonelybonelythecowgirl7402 I'm tempted to do it, but I don't see the point. What do you do with the wool when the soap bar is used up? Wet felting with soap definitely works. I made a felted cat toy ball like this. I just wrapped an old plastic ball in wool, put it in a nylon stocking, soaped it up & rubbed it until it was felted solid.

    I've used sand as a soap mold before. You have to rinse it off, give it a gentle scrub with a soft brush (brushes used to clean fingernails work well) and then give it a quick zap with a heat gun or even a hair dryer it if you want it to be actually smooth.
